40/40 Club

40/40 felt really easy this league.
Only challenge i got stuck was with the new invitation due to bad rng.

It would be nice if instead of sets we could get some pet / hideout / portals / character effects etc

Finally done, nothing hard also the grinds were very easy which i am totaly ok with.
But ggg i beg next league pls no armor set. A cool portal or cloak would be nice.

As for the league.
It's ok and i understand a lot of ppl ar liking the league, it's not for me tho and i am basicly not doing the mechanic anymore.

Once men turned their thinking over to machines in the hope that this would set them free. But that only permitted other men with machines to enslave them

“The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.”
Was fun doing the remaining challenges in softcore, such as ubers and juiced t17's. I had ripped a character into softcore so I didn't have to level it and could just use that one after trading some divs to it. Did the majority of them on my way to grind to lv 100. Some were quite annoying, like the bloodline ones were some bloodlines are gated behind heavy rng but at least you only needed 7/10. The Eagon invitiation also isn't a fun thing to unlock I ended up buying that one. Some of the t17 175% quant I also bought since it was cheaper + I don't find t17's to be interesting content.

The league mechanic is a lot of fun especially early on. It probably feels amazing in SSF since its so easy to get life and 130-160%+ resistances on a ring right now, or a good 6L base. I don't know how the mechanic is in ruthless since I haven't played that but I imagine ruthless players can also appreciate the tree. It's just that in the very endgame the league mechanic kind of falls flat. Good gear is easily obtained and loses a lot of its value due to the tree giving it out rather easily. The grafts are very powerful, but its rather easy to obtain one with great modifiers. Its not like abyss jewels were coming across a good one is rare. In the endgame the tree turns into gambling for magebloods/head hunters or pressing the currency generation button. The mechanic itself is fun, but the walls are such a pain if you don't want to deal with the mechanic. Later on the mechanic feels like a grind and doesn't feel as fun as it does in the leveling + mapping between lv 70 - 95.

I find the bloodline ascendancies very much a miss. Most builds really require the base 8 points for their own ascendancy class or they lack something severely. The bloodline ascendancies are great though for builds that only really use 6 / 8 points because now they have a more meaningful way to spend them. Otherwise you'd need a forbidden flame + forbidden flesh of your existing ascendancy to not lose power so that you can grab a bloodline ascendancy. This feels kind of bad. Also the bloodline ascendancies feel worse in terms of power than what base ascendancies provide. For example on the bleed glad build I play there are only some options for defensive ascendancies with most of them being rather mediocre defensive options if you compare them to any other base duelist ascendancies that you could get through a forbidden flesh + flame combo. I think the bloodline ascendancies could be a fun addition to the maingame but they would need a bit of work. For me the bloodline ascendancies were the most underwhelming thing this league. even though I think GGG put quite a bit of work into them.
