Does anyone like this new breach?

Does anyone miss the old breach?

Old breach:

- I could avoid and spec out of it
- It was good for XP with breachstones

New breach:

- purple everywhere
- consumes half of my maps
- gives me nothing useful except a pile of rares filtered out
- turns my game into a powerpoint slideshow
- did I mention purple?
So I take it old was superior.

I personally also hope this is only a league-gimmick, and that things will go back to "normal" after this league is over.

Old breach was optional. It was largely pointless outside of XP farming and most of that was in breachstones. Being optional meant it didn't destroy most of my map, did nothing possibly bad to my gameplay experience until I activated it, and lagged me WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY less than new breach.

If this is the devs idea of a good endgame league mechanic "rework", then I'm really worried about what will be changed in the future like harbingers.

No.
All the events have issues.

1. Defend Aislith(sp?) doesnt make sense the way its implemented at all. It would be better if the mobs would go for Aislith instead of being easily distracted. And the Aislith-doesnt-take-damage-after-taking-damage rule makes no sense at all. Getting swarmed should make her properly take more damage than one mob getting through. (She needs to be alot more tanky for that to work out which she should be anyway. And she should be a proper character with health and being influenced by auras etc.) And other flaws of the 2 defend versions like pointless waiting if no mobs come.

2. Unstable Breaches. The bar in the first part (stabilizing) is good and an upgrade. The boss/rares afterwards are boring and lame and should be scrapped or replaced with something interesting or at least there should be more variance. In old Breach boss randomly appearing was better than boss appearing at the end the way its done now. And its also always the same easy uninteresting pushover boss.
And I dont like mobs that dont give xp/loot from a design perspective (assuming the mobs spawning afterwards dont give them).

What youre saying is pretty much the old breach, so why didn't you like it?

I hope the old breach comes back, because this new breach is very boring and effortless.

Most leagues I didnt do Breach so Im not missing it. If this would still be old Breach I likely wouldnt have done any/much Breach stuff this league. So why should I miss it? So basically:

Old Breach: Dont care much either way.

New Breach: Has issues that need fixing or removing.
(And for me part of the issues may only be significant issues cause its the current league mechanic.)

For those liking (old) Breach some of the new Breach stuff does look like a smack in the face as its conceptually kind of the opposite thing. Breach was about fast AoE and then now you get this "walls everywhere, lets wait if some monster comes visit me" instead...

You missed something then by not doing breach past leagues.

thank god standard still got breach, and i just did some and there is so much other stuff from old that new dont have and is lacking. i like the idea of variety of mobs (not only fire dog) that there are fire element, cold, lightning, physical and chaos type. i also like the drops it give. its a much smoother experience, and not even gonna start talk on the breach ring recipe that is now totally gone.

i hope this league is just a one time thing, because the "OG" breach deserve to be in path of exile. (one of the best mechanics in the game!)

I like the old breach encounters more.

I cannot express how much I dislike the damn walls in my maps.

But even the "regular" breach is somehow worse imo. The monsters are always the same, no variety, no surprise, no excitement. U just stabilize, kill 4 rare monsters and that's it. (sometimes a "boss", who's pretty underwhelming)

I liked opening the breach and getting excited when it was a Chayula breach or even Uul-Netol in the earlier leagues. It was fun and it would sometimes change the way u'd interact with the monsters. Chayula being heavy chaos damage, so u had to dodge the projectiles ect. Uul being high physical and stacking spikes, so u'd better not linger around where those stand.
Even Tul breaches were special, if u had minions and u were not immune to chaining projectiles, u could get bursted down pretty quickly.

I don't know, I want to like the reworked version, but the more I play the more I wish it wasn't reworked.

The only thing that is good about this league is the tree, but even that has massive downsides in that it spits out early and mid-tier gear way too much. It makes pretty much every other league mechanic obsolete until the very endgame for currency or special stuff. (oils ect.)

The Grafts are fine and give some new opportunities for builds, but we all know those are temporary.

tl/dr: walls suck
