I am playing Kinetic Rain regardless of the nerf. If it sucks, I will be quitting the league.

I'm playing Kinetic Rain. If it is bad, I will quit, and GGG will not get my money this season. Silly? Maybe, but I like playing new builds.
I never play the same build twice, it is boring. But the meta has been kind of stale lately, outside of super high ends builds that require me to play something else first, which I don't have time for nor the desire to do. New skills excite me, but fucking gutting them like this sucks ass. If GGG can't balance it to be good but not busted, they don't deserve my time. Last bumped on Oct 31, 2025, 1:37:22 PM

On smaller targets it looked like it was just kinetic blast + free blue ground orbs that hardly ever hit anything. With lots of overlaps the kinetic rain of impact might still be good.
I don't see the point of the regular version of the gem now since there's a limit of the ground orbs. I guess the fantasy is that you swish swish swish your wand 3 times to lay your field of orbs before combat in something like ritual but it feels like a waste of time. |

It'll be fine imo the damage is on the blue stuff and that didn't get pre nerfed. Also wands are a complicated play style so don't give up too early.

The damage is now 80% the stationary ground balls.
So on large stationary targets, its ok. Several ground balls per cast. On small targets, or targets that move out of the area, is going to be like 1/4 the damage of KinBlast or even KinBolt. Dead on arrival. |
|
" The regular version assuming you get 1 anomaly that hits target per cast is now 175% AP at 110% AR or 192.5 Attack Power. Transfig is 135% AP at 120% AR or 162 Attack Power. Regular is still better if one ball hits. Both are outclassed by something as simple as kinetic bolt, which has an attack power around 220 AP per cast at 115 AR or 253 Attack Power. Thats without any GMP or shotgunning. So yeah, seems dead. Last edited by trixxar#2360 on Oct 31, 2025, 1:46:39 AM

" Deserve your time? Egotistical mindset to have. I'm sure they will buff the skill and completely change their balancing of the league so that you are happy... |

I wonder, why so much hate and bitterness?
Leagues are happening once every 4 months, and you can't be positive and looking forward the experience? Open your mind, and do good, do better |

They used to release the patch notes right near league start, now we get them a week early but some changes can occur. I would much rather have it this way than the old way.

Isn't this a prime example of setting yourself up to fail?
I think the nerf sucks, because it looked fun in the Ziggy teaser. But even Ziggy said it was too strong and had already been nerfed after that gameplay. People knew this. I think "locking" your experience of a new league to one particular skill is just sad. The league looks pretty good, and one nerf can't really alter that - if you don't actively let it, like it looks like you are doing. Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.

You think a build was nerfed to extinction, and that makes you want to play it for the first time? It sounds like you just want to complain. If you only want to play new builds, stick to whatever is newly released, and you won't go wrong (at least as long as your build design doesn't suck).
