lets talk about what normal players want

"
when you play an standard RPG Role Playing Game there is an authority called the GAME Master, they are meant to set control and change world rules at will, technically every season is a NEW set of rules as described for the GM aka patch notes, this is what makes poe enjoyable.

I cannot imagine playing this game with the same rules every 4 months, this is the spice, the flavor, a game in constant evolution for the good and the bad, the boring and the exciting. When you are not a brain-rotten guide follower and actually go by yourself, every season is a nice challenge to have for the long or short term. If you don't enjoy the journey rpg's- arpgs are not for you, as the end is well known, a character usually (with enough time) endsup as an overpowered creature able to one shot gods, the question is how? when,. for how long? what class?.

I'm a normal player, that's what I want.

tho i like ur idea, it should be a separate game from d-likes.

d-likes started off by being a "forever" game. with diablo 1. diablo 2 introduced ladders which were where players showed their enjoyment of resets.

hence 2 types of groups of players were formed. poe improved the resets with adding actual new content on top.

but one thing remained constant. the core of the game largely remained the same.

this is because one group (standard) prefers permanency. what you are asking for, if drastic enough would cause standard players to stop playing. as the rules would keep changing. also if we change the rules too much, the ones who enjoy the resets might actually end up not liking having to relearn everything over and over again. you might enjoy it but i bet most of the existing playerbase wont.

i would add, you mention about builds and boss deletion. to me this is simply due to the devs not reigning player power back. instead of identifying why builds are powerful and making them weaker, they just kept adding more difficult content and more things for players to utilize to get strong.

the real issue is balance. you start off with what? 10-20 dps but to barely function at the end game you need to do 1-4million dps. this is a ship that sailed long ago. builds will always be the optimal way to play the game.

even if you shake up the formula, streamers/theorycrafters will find new metas, and people will be inclined to just follow the newer builds.

all that effort to end up in the same spot

Once men turned their thinking over to machines in the hope that this would set them free. But that only permitted other men with machines to enslave them

“The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.”
Most POE players are not normal, including me..
What's a "normal player"?
Thanks for all the fish!

I poop, therefore I am.
I don't know if I'm a "normal" player, but I know what I want. Better access to information ingame.
Why not make the unique tab actually useful, and have it so if you hover over it, you see the item listed with stat ranges. Same for the currency tab, show me what I can get. Same with the Div cards, show me what I can get. Too much information is hidden to the player, and forces them to try to track it down. But, how will they know where to start? How will they find out if they use this unique and this skill that it interacts with this ascendancy node? Having more information ingame would be a very good start.

the fact we're on the forums instead of reddit shows we're not normal.

and if you're on reddit, you're still not normal enough to be considered a normal player.

a real normal player plays the game, either likes it or hates it then moves on.

and if we're being honest, d-likes is a niche genre.

I don't get why you quoted me here, did you mean to respond to someone else?
