Please Stop wasting time on a dead game

"
no idea why some people think poe is a dead game. even before the league starts already more people are streaming it on twitch than poe2. it has more viewers too on twitch. i trust this more than steam numbers that can be faked.

also the new league looks amazing. if you compare it to poe2 abyss its not even close. the devs are clearly putting a lot of work into it. and i can almost guarantee you the league wont get a mid league nerf patch that destroys the fun for players like poe2 did. they dont do things like that in poe

Twitch has been exposed to be literally like 80% bots and you are more concerned about somehow fake steamcharts? The logic..
Keep on hatin!

wow you guys need some business class..
How can you not see that poe 2 is being dragged and slowed down by time invested in poe 1, they dont have 10000 people in their studio.
They cant support and develop correctly both games.

I understand you are poe 1 "afectionado" but the reality of things, is that poe 1 is doomed to be a dead game, else they wouldnt even start poe 2. Be real, the sooner they focus on poe 2 (which they are not, since updates and fixes are extremely slow to come out) the better it is.

And then i read that GGG would be "surprised" if poe 2 would not come out in 2026, well guess what, keep it like this and you will be surprised.

This game needs tons of work, they are being slow, they have a misleading design direction that everytime they do an update shows the confusion they have, they are not focused in this game.

You will simply see.

Seeing takes like theese kinda makes me hope for PoE 2 to fail.

Would be really daft to focus entirely on their experimental and crippled newborn game instead of their proven income source.

No reason to hope - PoE 2 already failed. Think about it - they planned to quietly phase the first game out while working entirely on PoE 2. Nearly an year without a PoE 1. And what happened? Major outcry, people gathering to play PoE 1 while disregarding PoE 2. Obviously, they can't get their money's worth out of the failure no matter how many loot boxes they try to push

PoE 2 and PoE 1 are different games and they should not overlap in terms of playstyle PoE 2 was given to us as a slower game with dodgeroll with interactive and impactful combat, well this combat is good in the campaign it get's lost in endgame where the game becames mostly PoE 1 where you zoom around oneshot everything, while i don't mind that on maps they should treat bosses differently it should always be a 2-3 min fight at high tiers they should not oneshot you and you should not oneshot them (only if you have perfect mirrors worth of gear).

The problem is that they take everything from the faster (PoE1) game and they don't rework it look at breach, abyss, ritual, these are all mechanics where you need to screen clear mostly, and it does not enforce the slower combat style that was advertised for the game. They should pick a direction and go with it.

In my opinion it would be great if the 2 games would be different in the end. PoE 1 players can play their fast pased zoom around games, and PoE 2 players can play a slower game with meaningful combat.
Meaningful combat is such a meme at this point, I am glad some people still take it seriously
Ignore OP. Poe1 is still fun. I like both games.

This thread is truly a congregation of the greatest minds in this site.

This thread doesn't even know the history of either game to make the statements its making.
