They said. Then traditionally nuked a couple of popular builds to a state of non-existence, buffed 10 skill gems i forgot were even in the game by a whooping 5% or smth and also traditionally made maps drop even less loot.
Oh and it seems that i missed that part of the stream about that the Breach 2.0 Electric Boogaloo will replace the old Breac rather than compliment it.
Last time they "improved" Betrayal so hard i never once stepped a foot in there since after i realized new deal, and it seems that one of my rather more favourable league mechanics is going to add up the list this time around.
If that's actually all there is, and there's not gonna be a last minute article twice as long as this one, then i'll ballistically see y'all in the 3.28 patchnotes (maybe).

Ground loot Quad tapped:

-Mad mods on maps T17-lower quant
-Merc bonus removed
-Less Map Mod effect on atlas
-Scarabs nerfed (blooming, risk, etc.)

I'm concerned this is too far a pull back on ground loot.
Sad Zana petal abilities didn't get a pass. Some of them are pretty lack luster.

Can we get the reasoning to why just nerfing the broken end game mapping strats wasn't enough of a nerf? Did we really need to lose map mod effect, quant, rairity, and pack size to what is supposed to be the end game pinacle mapping content in a league where there was already going to be a hangover from the madness of mercs. Was this just a throw away league lets piss everyone off all at once to reset loot? Were you tired of hearing how much better PoE 1 end game is compared to 2 so we needed to go ahead and ruin it real quick. To remove so much and not even make a single change to other scarabs to replace some of this loot loss is really disappointing.

I would bet large sums of money that the tree mechanically releases extremely underpowered gets minor buffs for a couple weeks before GGG goes radio silence back to PoE 2. I can't remember the last mechanic like that, that released super rewarding. With those kind of mechanics they tremble thinking about them releasing with to many rewards its crazy.

The entire success of this league rests on whether or not those bloodline ascendancies are cool enough to keep us playing for 4 months (so far from the 3 they have shown it DOES NOT look like it)
