Lvl 75~ running 4k effective health is nothing

Correct. So what are we doing? You quit the season because you're dying with 4k EHP? I'm so confused.

Omg, I quit like 3 weeks ago for similar reasons.

I would say a majority of people I know left for similar reasons this go around.

Bosses just feel like they're designed to get you to uninstall atm.

People can defend it, but its nonsensical to do so. You're actively choosing to alienate at that point. That's not how you get a healthy game community.

The game plays one way and then suddenly feels different once you get into Maps. That is and has been what they need to fix. Make the endgame feel as good as the campaign.

Not "congrats you made it to the endgame, lets reward you with a miserable experience of a poorly optimized new game that you can't see what's killing you. Disregard that we were already aware of these very same problems from our last title."

You want people to play the game, make it an enjoyable experience. You can have challenge and progression without poor gameplay design choice and implementation.

I want the game to do well, but you can't use the meta mentality players as the basis if you want that to be the case. You need to look at all player types & balance accordingly.

And worse to worse you simply provide more league start options.

or not allow him to start with the slam.
I'd be fine with this minor adjustment.

I like 0.3.1 as a firm step in the right direction (ritual tablet drop rates aside), considering 0.4.0 will be a leap. People need to learn to solve their own problems with all the resources available to them, instead of acting like there's nothing that can be done. I think Campaign could make a better transition into Endgame, but Act IV/Interludes look like they intend to smooth out that transition as well. So hopefully Act V and VI fill that gap nicely.

I wish league starters weren't even a thing, like if a class is strong in early game, it SHOULD fall off by late-game (not be trash in late-game*) and if a class is weak in early-game it should be a bit stronger in late-game. There should be overall fine/avg classes as well. That's a model I thought was really clever in other online RPGs I played. But that was back when it would potentially/likely take years to reach end-game.

0.4.0 is supposed to be the big Endgame patch. PoE2, admittedly, launched with a quickly tacked on endgame. It wasn't really thought through. It was just a dirty copy/paste of PoE1's endgame. Hopefully they at least hit third base when 0.4.0 hits, if they don't straight up hit it out of the park.

Also, the game isn't even technically out yet. It's EA. They haven't really prioritized performance yet (that focus will be much closer to release), and I hear that's a major weakpoint GGG has as well, so even after launch I expect it to still be kinda rough.
It's not ideal, but it's realistic. And no one is being forced to be here.
Spoiler
How many people make bug reports when they encounter problems? Everyone wants the game to "just be better," but how many are actually helpful in any meaningful way?
Don't get lost by being so focused on the target that you forget to enjoy your surroundings.

Zekoa the ball crusher 1 hits me through 10k ES and 10% armor (not a great deal but no pushover either). Definitely responsible for around 50% of my total deaths to bosses. Occasionally even if you roll the right way his trajectory of the dark red attack changes instantly to coincide to the direction you are rolling to and it becomes an auto-hit. GG
You pretty much have to treat it like the big fluffy flappy bird and NOT roll and continue moving in an anti-clockwise direction (Why ACW? apparently harder to track that way) to get around him to set up that juicy shot. The boss arena's obstacles can also be a pain if you're trying to navigate and watch his wind up at the same time. edit: This is for the Rupture map

Pyle - how do we ignore him in .3.1b ?

Yeah that also happened to me with 12k ES. However the game does have a feature to make him stop one-shotting. You can just remove the "map boss difficulty" nodes from the Atlas tree. He only hits for about 5k then with the red slam. After grinding to lvl97 with the difficulty nodes, I realized that bosses don't drop anything valuable anyway compared to what you get from the rest of the map.
Those map boss difficulty nodes seem a bit problematic in that they don't feel worth using for the rewards.

There's also the scenario where lets say you're a level 95 warrior in hcssf and you have +4 to boss difficulty allocated and you get monkey slammed.

You decide to reroll as a witch and then you finally limp into maps again after re-grinding your way through the campaign and - woops - because you're not a level 95 warrior wearing 50+hrs of farmed gear anymore and instead are a level 65 witch wearing vendor gear who just spent all your gold gambling for amulets at level 60, the fight is going to take you 15 minutes of dodging and weaving with a moment of frantically trying to assign your default staff spell to one of your hotkeys because you ran out of mana pots 5 minutes in and forgot it was going to be a +4 boss.

Maybe the atlas should be character specific in it's current format.
