DO you guys want your playerbase to have fun in the end game?

It's there i should be able to rely 100% on it, just like i can rely on ES.

Yeah, sorry, but this is just a big fat absolutely not from me. This is one of the ways PoE2 needs to differentiate itself from PoE1.

ES is egregiously broken and makes the game absolutely boring. If I wanted to play an AFK/idle game I would play Cookie Clicker. The solution to this problem is to reduce the effectiveness of ES, not to make other defensives capable of turning the endgame into mindless triviality.

Deflection gave Evasion some nuance and Armour vs. Elemental Damage gave Armour some nuance, but neither made those stats viable on their own. They're very clearly moving away from the idea that you can just stack a single stat and become immortal in the endgame and I'm glad because this shallow "get perfect" endgame strategy is one of the reasons I stopped playing PoE1.

We have an honor based trial. Ok, what about recoup/thorns builds. They exist, you can't simply make those builds unable to ascend(or... can you). Its not a mistake, its an entire system that simply doesn't work in specific cases. Not to mention it invalidates tons of builds- as the passive points could simply be better spent.

With specialized builds and specialized content, there's going to be cases of anti-synergy where the answer is: You don't do that content with that build.

Recoup and Thorns builds simply don't do Sek.
They ascend using Chaos trials instead, or Ancestors once that's an option.

Sek with builds that intend to get hit provides the most in your face example at this time, and it may always be the most obvious example, but throughout the life of the game there's always going to be combinations of build and content you just don't do.

And as a player with such a build, if you want to run that content to obtain some reward, you do it on a 2nd character, or you just trade for the stuff.
I have a build for a recoup melee Sorc myself. I won't be ascending using Sek, I'll get my points from Chaos.
Some other build of mine will play Sek plenty but never bother running Chaos.

Like honestly I dont mean to be rude but no where does it seem like you want us to enjoy the game , Everything from trials, bosses, drops even our own skill tree is designed to piss the playerbase off, Nothing in the mapping nore way we craft is designed for engagement

LIKE HOW DO YOU GUYS think its fun for us to take instant damage in things like trials, riturals etc by mobs that are not even on our fucking screeenns yet that instant kill us and in trials instant remove all out honor

so please stop being so quiet

It is precisely that GGG want the playerbase to have fun, that is why they make the game very difficult and challenging.

Without challenges, there will be no heroes.

Trials, for example Trial of Sekhema is pretty easy content. In fact all the four levels of Trial of Sekhema including the 4th level trial is quite easy content once you figure things out.

You find things frustrating because you are not able to figure out how to beat the content.

In 0.1, I only managed to learn how to game until 2nd level of trial of sekhema.

Then in 0.2, I managed to learn how to defeat 4th level of the trial. You see, once you figure it out, things becomes easy.

Hence in 0.3, I completed 4th level of the trial again. (which is about 1 hour ago). This is still as achievable as 0.2 and the best part of the story is that once you figure things out, things become easy and you will have a good time playing the game.

Let me ask you this. Who likes to die in the game? Who likes to lose in the game? If you die all the time and lose all the time in the game, of course you will get frustrated. If you want to have good time playing the game, then you have no choice but to start learning how to play the game.

The game cannot be too easy. If it is too easy, then people will deem this game as casual and then nobody will want to play this game. After that, the population will drop and the game will die very fast.

This game is designed for a small group of hardcore players from the beginning.

The addictive nature of people is the key factor in this business plan.

GGG does not pay attention to the majority of normal players (95%). Instead, they focus on the in minority group.

There is nothing enjoyable about this game due to its excessive difficulty.

Microtransactions and cosmetic items are the key components of this plan.

there's a massive difference between a difficult game and this game.
PoE2 is not hard, it's just extremely unbalanced.
Dark souls saga is hard, sekiro is hard, but there you're given tools to avoid deaths, you can time mechanics and properly dodge.
In this game the dodge is just a "roll out of shits before they happens", in other games when you time your dodge you actually avoid every form of damage caused by that hit even if you are in the middle of it and it is a stilish and engaging fight more than those we have here.

The only thing we have here is "kill them before they move", offscreen included and this doesnt make it hard imho, it is the main balance issue the game has to offer.

Two most iconic examples:
If you dodge Jamanra swipe but you are in the middle of it, you die. You have to roll out and be completely out of reach to avoid it, this make the fight lose its pace because if it happens during last phases where he summons portals, tornadoes and the others things you have to do miracles to avoid all those stuff nad all his attacks until you approach him again.

Monkey slam: doesnt matter if you dodge, you have to be out of reach to avoid it, if you dodge as he slams and face him, you're dead.

Little extra: most ridiculous thing is when you are suddenly swarmed and try to dodge out but you get stuck in mobs and they gangbang you to death.
So yeah kill them before they move is the only defense you have, even with negative resistances (they dont save you) and naked, just rings ammy and weapon you are good to go as long as you meet the rule mentioned above.

Not hard, unbalanced because we have no proper tool to have some fun.

Dont speak for anyone.
Trials are some of the worst shit i have seen in a game.
As long as they exist this is a B tier experience at best.

the games already getting less and less people every patch, its not hard like dark souls is this games hard in the way it does bull shit that the player cant see or prevent because the devs have no real clue on how to code in hard mobs, Its ether they have 5 1 shot abilites and dance all over the place or are pussies and dont hurt, aka no clue how to design mobs for the game they want

and shit that plays into every aspect of the game from the way we gear to the way we build ourselfs its made to made the player go god im glad thats over and done with insted of cool im glad i got that done with, Its just plane old rng tedious bs
