This is all the same thread about meaningful combat/zooming combat.
There are two opposite camps of players currently.

One want meaningfull engaging combat like they shown in the 1-year-old teasers like this merc gameplay video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mU7mLtj7nxU And first few acts in SSF HC can offer this gameplay.

The other want it to be poe1 clone with it's zooming builds and endgame where you have to run maps for 30 seconds and explode 3 screens away without looking at the screen entirely. I'm not sure why they want it to be so, since poe1 is literally does this MUCH better at literally every point.

And the game state is currently very unfinished, since it looks like trying to please both and as a result can't please anyone for 100%. We have many skills// mob design (i mean their abilities and animations) made for slower gameplay like we have in first few acts. But then they balanced endgame(and later acts and league mechanic) the way they does it in poe1 which only allow blind zooming minimap gameplay with one button builds clearing screens.

I think patch 0.3.1 with reducing mob packsize and increased bosses difficulty is a good sign and the game will be better balanced around slower build and skills like parry in future updates.

For now i can only recommend playing in SSF HC in acts. it really looks much better without zooming endgame blasting, when you have to prepare resists for each boss, build tanky and do it all by yourself without requesting perfect items on trade.

then build badly? idk what to tell you lol
Some of these replies lol. I agree completely. Truth is the end game in it's current form is just not very good. But they do the best they can to not to burst peoples bubbles it seems. PoE has always been fun to play for a little while then it becomes a bit stale until they have an update. Creating an ever scaling and interesting game isn't as easy as people think it is apparently.
Eh just another ironic "game is too easy" post, oh noes...someone is strong and became bored, then blame the game for this and that. Good for you, see you in the next game.

Well actually its a little different. Its more like difficulty is balanced around speeding up things and multiplying mob quantity and packs, in the same time to overcome this you must build to ignore mechanics passively.
This makes gameplay dull in endgame, since best way to survive is ignoring the combat machanics: build immunities to everything and damage to kill enemy before it can do anything. Its kinda good in buildcrafting but extremely bad in combat itself. This is how poe1 works either and new people come to poe2 for combat, not for this again.

This.

Anyone claiming the game is too easy need to play less meta builds, or demand GGG nerf them. What they ask for is just going to piss off everyone not running meta builds and are struggling with the game.
PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds.

Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build!

And the winds will cry / and many men will die / and all the waves will bow down / to the Loreley
It doesn't sound like "powerful" is your issue.
If I had to guess, and forgive me if I'm completely off base, but did you by chance copy someone else' powerful build and now with no sense of accomplishment, you're bored?
If not, then I apologize.

If so, invent something. Engage your brain. Try something that you haven't seen anyone else do. Go in blind and experiment. This has been my approach since 0.1 (new to poe in general) and I seldom, if ever, get bored.
To be quite honest, I think this, not the actual gameplay itself, is what I find enjoyable.

"Run it up the flagpole and see who salutes it".

And if that STILL doesn't turn your crank, how about something more challenging such as (but not limited to):

*A well crafted ratatouille thats not only visually appealing but also delicious. (LOL GOOD FRIGGIN LUCK)

*A well groomed yard without a single weed and more than one rose bush.

*Biblical studies that incorporate the Geneva Bible with a clear understanding of the apocrypha.

*Learning to build a fire with nothing but what you find in the woods. No lighter, no store bought fuel, ONLY with what you find.

*Catching a salmon and prepare it on the spot.

*Conquer a fear.

*Teach a dog how to whisper.

*El cap.

The world is your oyster, my friend.

The game's not even finished. Being to powerful shouldn't be a concern. Being too weak should be and there are plenty of players who feel their classes are suboptimal at best. At least until the game is done imo.
