Yea, I agree but I think they made it that way so you cant dodge attacks by timing leap slam so you are in the air to avoid damage.
Side note, I played leap slam last season and I cant tell you the number of times I died because of a temporal bubble yellow or temporal chains debuff. Took like 4 seconds to hit the ground and was dead mid air. Single most common spot that character died was mid air.

If you're talking about getting hit while using Leap Slam. That's just classic PoE.
I think GGG regrets ever making Leap Slam for PoE1 giving players easy travel early in the game's life. They made sure you will always get hit by everything during the animation and travel. As for why it's like that in PoE2, well everything is a copy of PoE1... or a terrible new design.
In my case its escape shot thats not doing what its supposed to do :D
Oh yea. I already did a post making fun of Escapist Shot in 0.1.
I mentioned I could manually move faster than the skill making it entirely worthless. Freezing Salvo was just strictly better. I don't know how it functions now. Bows still feel pretty limited.

yup exactly things like this take away from the physicality of the game that ggg is so proud of :)
