You are acting like diversity of builds should be depending only on unique items.

You are giving players a huge canvas BUT little bit of paint, then expecting variety of creations because you provided different brushes (i.e. unique items).

Here is an idea to discuss:

At least, once a new class released, some amount of passive skill points should be coming with the patch for the players to be able to compensate the added space (as mentioned above).

If your problem is: people will use extra skill points only to one shot bosses or to make their meta builds even more broken, then the problem is not the skill points. Its the perfectly(!) balanced meta.

I will be defending the idea of "freedom & diversity of builds" until I run out of hope. Not there yet.

PS: since the game is still in beta, it is the perfect time to discuss opinions.

I hope GGG actually reads and thinks about these posts, instead of throwing them away without care.

I'm kinda impressed you're still arguing about this a month later. The tree isn't going to infinitely grow along side classes things will be cut and new path ways made. You're still wrong about your approach in needing more points and don't understand what that would change about the entire tree and power creep as I pointed out back then but I do appreciate the dedication you have to doubling down on being wrong.

Thanks for your appriciation. Kinda fun you can decide what is wrong and right. GGG realised evasion is not enough as a line of defence and decided to add deflection. Which made more need for points. Ofc, you can get it from items, but you need to give up on something to get it. Last update we received more nodes on the tree and this will keep going on as new classes are added. When you do understand that argument is not about power creep, your attitude against others opinion will improve, hopefully.


Please also read other comments etc:

points are fine .
tree needs work.
more intersections.
fewer travel nodes.

I am not the only one looking forward for adjustments on skill tree, either by efficiency or more resources.

fewer travel nodes would help a lot. i like stats but i only want so many +5s
