Which GPU/CPU combo are you using?

Ryzen 9 7900x3d with a nvidia RTX 4070 TI Super. Smooth as silk with everything maxxed at 4096x2160 on a LG tv. Running a spark build. Good performance doesnt come cheap.

I can tell you are not juicing your maps. Even better pc's have a problem in overrun by abyss, high pack size delirium and breach maps.

Has he explained already how he is not having FPS drops? Still waiting
5700X+RTX 2070

thanks to my freesync monitor i can lock fps into 49 and it runs smoothly and barely drops
d:-D*
i have prettymuch same setup as urs, 5600x(9060xt 16gb) only way to enjoy the game is loseless scaling+3x framegen, but 5600x is bottlenecking on somegames like cyberpunk dogtown/japantown, poe2 etc, i play 1080p, Also how fucking hard it is for ggg to add fsr4 or current gen dlss for game, even indie games has that on early access

i9-13900k and rtx4090 4k max settings

unplayable on DX12, okay but not great with vulkan
Ryzen 7 5700X with 9070XT, way more problems and laggspikes (CPU Spikes) since i switched to the 9070XT from an 3070...

I tried every know solution (or every i found) for better performance but its most likely unplayable for me at this point.

CPU is at 50% utilization.

It sucks so hard that Optiscaler is a bannable offense
Definitely an optimization problem. I know it’s not my system being underpowered.

Ultra9 275hx
5090 24gb
64gb DDR5.

Wifi7 on fiber with a 2G connection

I normally average 150 fps but the game drops all the way to 30 and turns into slide show mode or freezes and time warps sometimes. It’s still playable, but barely sometimes.
I have laptop Intel Ultra 9 275HX with RTX 5080 and 32GB RAM

Settings and resolution does not matter, game just drops to 1 fps on regular basis, and re-entering the instance fixes it temporarily

Dont worry guys, your hardware is fine, the problem is somewhere else

5600x + 3060ti + 32gb ram

ggg fixed abyss crashing for me about a month ago, but the fps is as you would expect. The difference btw min settings and max settings is about 1gb vram for me. In some areas (like that dumb fiery cornfield) the shader bar shits itself and i get gpu bound but it's usually cpu bottleneck in abyss. potato mode helped a bit, but the herald explosions sure don't lol.

Im on 14900k, never had an issue

Yep. It's all in the processor for the way GGG codes. Was the same in PoE1. You can attempt to steady CPU spikes by running some small other apps in the background and minimizing them. On my old machine I used a chess program and youtube running my own music. There's some bug with multiple cores that has been in both games and still is. Running tiny apps first and minimizing them to let them run while you play will occupy a core priority can fix it if that's the issue.

If your CPU isn't spiking then you'll have to deal with the stutters or upgrade to at least I'd say a 12th gen processor or equivalent. I have the same processor as the poster in my quote and have never noticed a slowdown that wasn't network related. 14th gen. Video card is just a 4060 ti. It's almost never taxed unless I'm in a party with some AOE spammer in delerium or something.

Also press F1 and check to see what is causing the slowdown. If it's the green network bar spiking, that's almost always GGG servers. Could be yours, but almost always theirs. If it's the red CPU bar, try my fix. If it's still maxed out, there's your answer. The shader bar will be maxed out when you first zone in but that won't slow you down, only makes some monsters and effects invisible until they load.
