Listening to loud Min/Max gamers has made end game worse.

Why is there always someone to blame for GGG's poor decisions? Can it be that removing towers was the plan from the get go and they implemented it now?

     +1
I liked towers. Moreover, I liked endgame being different than poe1. If it's going to be a different game than poe1, then make it different. I want a new game, or I want Poe1 with new graphics. I don't want this hybrid thing that is the worst of both. -Quest Last edited by Quest27#4670 on Oct 12, 2025, 4:07:18 PM

" So Fubgun and basically every PoE 2 content creator I’ve ever seen are the “casual community” for you? Interesting. The casual community didn’t give a sh*t about tower setups as far as I can tell, because they didn’t try to min-max anything. They usually got stuck on T5 maps with shitty builds, complaining about XP loss on death. He’s right though — the ones that complained “the loudest” (because of their reach and audiences) were the streamers. They play 12 hours a day, get everything there is to get, and naturally min-max the sh*t out of everything, including endgame juicing. Tower setups were a problem for people who played a lot — not for the guy who logs in twice a week for two hours. Tower setups were bad because they made everything else feel unrewarding and dull. Now there’s even less to do in endgame without hunting for tower setups. T16s are even rarer, map prep is awful, and the new build meta revolves around 150–500 rarity, which hurts build variety even more than before. Guess it’s a great point to take a break until 0.4. |

"So they added Towers with the plan to remove them? |

" Well see it from this perspective. Overlapping towers gave such an insane advantage on several Maps it was stupid. But the whole change was mostly unnecessary. They could have just made Towers never generate overlapping. And it would have been fine. Then increase the affix numbers and its fine. I also never had an issue with towers as they were honestly, but i had the time to search for overlapping towers. It creates some insanely good maps. The issue right now for me is that tablets dont have enough charges. 10 is just not enough. " If that was the case then they would be hilariously stupid. I highly doubt that is the case. “The bird of Hermes is my name, eating my wings to make me tame.” Last edited by Alzucard#2422 on Oct 12, 2025, 5:04:33 PM

" Gravebinders pair of gloves is still in there along with the 'party' play. Overlapping bonuses could have been easily reduced, diminished past a point. With the change and double-dip - tons of 2x overlapped (but abandoned) setups suddenly became inviting, which is even more hilarious. Previously I could run a map with 5 mods with an alt (and used the main if I'd die) now the option is a lot more punishing/less rewarding. As for the grand plan - having a boss on each map was always trivial to have, so no way that was from get-go, along with the fact the rare icons were added - just to be removed later. The change feel exceptionally disjointed, untested, and without a specific direction. Last edited by bestsss#7863 on Oct 12, 2025, 5:14:41 PM
