Chilled ground needs to go

You can't just remove stuff you don't like bro. The game has to be challenging. I mean, maybe reduce the slowdown slightly? I don't think it was a good idea to make charms (silver) useless against it. Kinda stupid imo, that's kinda the point of the charm in the first place. Other than that though, it's fine. Keep it as is, but again, allow charm to work again.

After the 1b patch yesterday it seems to be slightly better regarding the overall amount but I encountered invisible patches that gave me the debuff. So they swapped one bad thing for another.

I agree! Or at least less of it in maps and fix it! Yesterday my toon died cause I stepped on chilled patch. 10 000hp and lil bit of ES gone in under half of second. That cant be intended!

It will be nice if we got a skill for let's say 60 Spirit which makes us immune to slows of any kind.

I like the idea of ground areas you have to either avoid or mitigate, but right now PoE 2 just doesn't have the visual clarity to make some ground effects avoidable. I have screenshots of chilled ground 90% hidden just from leaves on the map's tileset, let alone the dozens of other ground effects that can be plopped on top.
What if chilled ground's magnitude increased over time like how fiery ground works now, building up flammability. If you're a dex character with plenty of slow effect reduction you're still rewarded with being able to ignore it, and if you're a mace warrior you can notice it starting to take effect and get out of it. More interactive, and I think more fun. " I gotta say I agree. A significant amount of character building in this game (at least for off-meta builds) feels like digging yourself out of a hole rather than gaining exciting powers. Do I spend a skill point to not move like molasses, or to get one shot less? It can be fatiguing over time. But I don't want it to be easier. And without those character problems to solve, what's left besides stacking damage? I'm not sure what I'm hungry for here, but I agree it feels a little off. |

...if you're a blue gem character you get the crystal. immunities on a Megalomaniac (or amulet; armor too but that's way too random) and you never have to care about it any longer. As for fun - I don't think it's fun at any rate, so being more fun is dubious. Last edited by bestsss#7863 on Oct 10, 2025, 12:29:54 PM
