Having to pay again to move systems is trash,

The performance issues on PS5 have just gotten so bad in late game that I was wanting to switch to PC. Unfortunately, even though I spent $100 on a 'supporter' pack, I have to rebuy access on the PC.

The amount this 'free' game exploits us is infuriating. Everything from stash tabs that should just be standard (the currency one at least, JFC) to $500 cosmetic packs is just egregious.

I love the gameplay (when it's not bugging out), but this kind of stuff just makes them not fun eventually and not worth my time or money.

Anybody know if I connect on a 'free weekend' the link will stay?

Its a sony policy not ggg. GGG would if they could but they aren't allowed.
Fun things, Sad things... We can't share everything, But what we can, we should share... That is what it means to be a guild. A single persons happiness is everyone's happiness. A single persons anger is everyone's anger. And a single person's tears are everyone's tears.

Please, this affects all platforms, not just Sony.

...but even if it were, then how about a nominal .99$ linking fee? This is straight up GGG being greedy.

It is very specifically Sony and ONLY Sony. Sony will not allow cross platform sharing. Xbox and PC share. It's ONLY Sony that does not allow cross platform sharing. So, even if GGG charged ".99 linking fee", they could not force Sony to comply.

A quick google search will point your anger in the proper direction.

...ok, quick search ... and the first two results are:

'Keep in mind that early access keys are tied to specific platforms, and separate purchases are required for each. This means you have to purchase the game multiple times if you plan on playing on different platforms.'

https://www.poe-vault.com/poe2/news/path-of-exile-2-crossplay-and-cross-progression-explained

and

'During early access, the answer is yes. Each platform requires its own purchase or access key. If you bought PoE2 on PC but want to play on Xbox, you’ll need to buy the Xbox license too.'

https://www.fdaytalk.com/path-of-exile-2-cross-progression/

Perhaps you think putting an Xbox app on your MICROSOFT Windows PC is the same thing? Maybe I'm missing something?

Bonus from the links!

'The silver lining: once PoE2 leaves early access, it will follow the same free-to-play model as Path of Exile 1. At that point, you’ll be able to take full advantage of cross progression without extra purchases, aside from optional cosmetics.'

So again. Methings GGG is just greedy, plus with added assurance as they're only gouging us in early access.

It's literally GGG greedy af. They can blame Sony all they want but they literally CAN give you your characters and the same Mtx you bought on your ps, they just choose not too.

Here we go.....

Go re-read your original post. It talks very specifically about MTX multiple times. This entire conversation has been about MTX and it's cross-platform availability.

Now you're switching it it early access keys? Do you need an early access key? I have multiple that I have 0 use for.

Now back to the original topic of MTX and cross platform. All of Xbox MTX and PC MTX work on both platforms. The ONLY one that doesn't work cross platform is Sony.

Why would GGG decide to make Xbox MTX work with PC (and vice versa) but not PS5? What do they have to gain by shitting on 1 segment of their player base specifically.

I don't agree with a lot of things GGG does (IE if I buy an MTX, I can only use it on 1 character in 1 league at a time). That is straight up greed. The sony thing is a different case.

Try googling this "sony does not allow poe purchases to be shared". Then, you can read through TONs of stuff regarding the Sony issue. And, that issue, only exists for Sony players.

Your theory of GGG singling out Sony players only is a bit of a stretch.

Ok, here we go.

Go reread my post. Yes, I am specifically complaining about access keys. I'm not talking about transferring MTX. I only mention the cosmetic packs to highlight GGG's high prices and how ridiculous it is to charge us another $30 for something that will be FREE once this FREE game is released.

I get it though, the issue with Sony and MTX is related. Never said Sony players were singled out. I was the one literally saying my issue applied to all platforms in my second post, which I thought made it clear I was talking about access keys and cross-platform progression.

$30 GGG doesn't have to charge. Get their hot dog out of your mouth.
