u should remove ssf mode if u dont want ppl to play it
" you probably had an entire stash tab full of tablets before 0.3.1, lol it's already been reported multiple times that new characters/grinds ignoring past accumulations from before 0.3.1 that the drop frequency is not good at all Last edited by Dopamine#8306 on Oct 6, 2025, 3:07:01 PM

" From what I've seen, the complaints are centered around Ritual. Even gaining tribute is harder than it used to be. I myself am farming expedition and I don't feel like it's a problem. I get plenty of tablets for it. Just to be sure here, but you do have the +30% quantity of tablet drop node allocated, right? PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds. Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build! " I know that item rarity can make a huge difference, but it's really hard to stack rarity on a fresh character in SSF. Especially now, when it's difficult to encounter mechanics like Breach or Ritual in maps—which used to be reliable sources for base items and currency in the endgame. If you want item rarity, you mostly have to rely on random drops from rare monsters. And with the new tablet system, it’s become even harder to stack item quantity, making it even tougher to get good items. For a new character without any existing gear, the whole experience just feels like a vicious cycle. |

It's not that they don't want people to play certain game modes, it's just that they don't want the game to be fun.
Why else would they try to move away from the award winning formula of PoE1? |

" I used to think the same way. In Trade League, one of my biggest headaches was dealing with the massive pile of maps. After a few days of farming, I'd end up with 2-3 tabs full of maps. Even if I sell all magic ones, I still often had to spend over a hundred Ex just to handle all the rare maps. But in SSF — I'm not sure if it's because I still can't stack enough rarity — my map pool just keeps shrinking. I've run into situations multiple times where map bosses didn't drop any map at all. On top of that, occasional deaths causing map loss and those unique maps that don't drop maps anyway — right now, I'm really feeling the map shortage and barely getting by. |

" sure, I've already taken the passive that gives +30% to tablet drop rate and invested as much as possible in map drop-related nodes. But there are still issues. Expedition is my least favorite endgame mechanic, so I didn't include it in my earlier calculations — but honestly, it does feel like the most commonly encountered content. Even so, I haven't dropped a single expedition tablet, despite getting tons of logbooks... |

" I don't know — maybe even if I did make mistakes, the game should still offer some way to recover. In Trade League, if I mess up — like in the early league when I use Orbs of Alchemy on every white base I need and often run out of them — I can always compensate through trading. Even if my strategy is wrong and I run out of maps, I can just buy more. But in SSF, what am I supposed to do? POE is inherently a game of chances and RNG. Every decision you make can either pay off or backfire. In Trade League, you can always farm currency and trade to recover from any failure. But in SSF? Once you run out of a specific resource, your entire progression can hit a dead end. Beyond relying on pure luck, there's almost no reliable way to fix it. I don't think the problem here is that I'm playing wrong — I think it's that the game is designed wrong. |

" Purchase from Doryani. You are never blocked. SSF Rise of the Abyssal Ice Strike Invoker, high survivability and fast clear speed. Deprioritize armor and resistances; prioritize crafting a weapon and faster start of ES recharge. Build is shown at level 47, end of Act 3. It tore through Act 3 like butter.

" I already bought out all map from him. and i'm far away from leveling up to refresh his storage. at least he should have an infinite storage in ssf but in fact no. |
