This has to be a huge blow, a colossal failure.
You've broken your game to please the streamers, and now they continue promoting the devil while your user base (RPG-loving adults with money) has stopped enjoying the game at the pace required by the busy lives of wealthy adults. I sincerely believe this is all a leadership crisis. " Yep, had 20 active players on my friends list before patch. Zero players 2 days after patch was released. Some of these guys were playing like 8+ hours daily too, and have characters level 96-99... So odd for them to just give up when they are that close to 100.. Yes, so very very very very odd...... |

" I stopped when it was announced, it was clearly going in the exact direction I was hoping it wouldn't. It killed all motivation I had to keep playing around this patch. I'll come back around next big update (likely 0.4) to see how things pan out, but if it keeps going in this direction then it's unlikely to become the game for me. I like POE1, I was hoping (as it was during closed beta and 0.1) for something different for POE2. I don't need 2 versions of POE, so if that's the direction they want the game to go then good luck with it. I'll likely play ONE of them, but not both like I was planning on doing. Am I missing something? I went to look out of curiosity and steam charts say 85k concurrent players. This is of course just steam, not counting other platforms, the client itself or the fact china has its own server now
By this time in 0.2 I think we had like 20k concurrent players or something (?) |

Nobody appeased streamers you simpletons. The appeased THE FAN BASE. IT's great that you like things as they are, obviously, you're the extreme minority, or they wouldn't be deleting and changing all the shit you like. You have an unpopular opinion. The game you want will not even exist in 6 months to a year. You all should just leave now. Additionally my guild went from a ghost town to busy, so again, anecdotal shit means less than nothing. I’m really enjoying playing right now, but it’ll only last as long as my pre-juiced towers supply doesn’t run out. Without 100%+ quantity, it won’t be as fun :D
Crafting is super fun too — I just need some new Omens and Essences to make it even better! Having said that - Soon I'm going to play some poe1 to compare it. I need to wait for new endgame content patch in poe2. |
