character is stuck on the ship

The character is stuck on the ship at the Wakapanu Island location.
All interactive objects (Makoro, portal, ladder) are inactive.
The "Enter Hideout" (or ctrl + enter) button on the character selection screen sends back to this same ship.
I tried waiting for the location to reset more than 1h, but that didn't help.
The /hideout command doesn't work either.

I tried teleporting through asynchronous trading and to a group member, that doesn't help either.
Please help me. I haven't been able to play for several days.
On the Character Selection screen - try using the button to the right of the character name - it looks like a small house/home - select to respawn in town/hideout.
😹😹😹😹😹
I do not and will not use TFT.

I would have suggested the same, but apparently the poster tried to use the spawn in hideout/town feature and this wasn't working for them. :( I had meant to test the specific area myself.

There is a confirmation dialog for spawn in hideout/town asking to confirm abandoning your current location. Were you also receiving this prompt?

Edit: I confirmed that after "setting sail" to the Whakapanu Island on the ship (at the waypoint, but using Makoru to get there from Kingsmarch), I was sent back to the ship instead of Kingsmarch using the spawn in town feature. The same thing happened when travelling to Wakapanu Island by waypoint from Kingsmarch. The same thing happens travelling by waypoint from a different town.

Exiting to character select from the ship and choosing to control-click PLAY (or pressing the new Hideout/Town button) brought up the usual confirmation dialogue about spawning in the most recent town or hideout. The first time that I tried, I got a 'Failed to connect to instance' error, which I am guessing may have been because it was trying to use the original instance after discarding it. After logging back in and trying again, I was indeed sent back to the ship instead of Kingsmarch. I was able to repeat the instance error by repeating the process with this new instance.

The difference in my case is that I am still able to interact with the NPCs and the waypoint to travel somewhere else.

Confirmed that you cannot go to hideout from this area using /hideout.

I tried it, unfortunately it doesn't work.

1. Yes, I get a confirmation dialog.
2. Yes, in some cases I get the error "Failed to connect to instance" (I couldn't find a pattern).
3. Any ideas on how to get off this ship?

Given that you have been unable to interact with anything, it sounds like you are experiencing a second issue in addition to being unable to force spawn in town (which I can recreate without impacting my ability to leave).

If you continue to be unable to interact with the waypoint, the ladder to reach Wakapanu Island, or Makoru, you do seem rather stuck. I wonder if your character somehow has a broken quest state.

Had you used Makoru to travel here from Kingsmarch, or did you by chance end up here via party travel (e.g., teleporting to Wakapanu Island and subsequently respawning here)?

Further Questions

Do you have the problem only with this one character, or are your other characters similarly disabled from interacting with the environment? If all of your characters have this issue, it could be a problem with your account or your game install.

Are you having any other issues with your networking or internet? Being unable to interact with objects in the environment might often be caused by losing contact with the server, but this would usually be temporary. If you have not done so, I would try changing server regions and direct-connecting your PC or console to your internet if you are using wifi. Avoid using a VPN.

If changing servers and waiting hasn't resolved your issue (each Failed to Connect to Instance error suggests you were closing the old instances), you likely need to speak with support. Hopefully they can help and not just send you back to the forum.

You can always try checking your game files for corruption, but that doesn't sound like your problem from your symptoms. Worth a shot: use the PackCheck.exe file checker in the PC standalone install, or check file integrity in Steam or Console. You could try to reinstall as a last resort if that is feasible for your connection, but I don't think this will resolve your issue.

I don't know what is causing your issue and am just taking a stab at possible options as another player. I wish you luck in resolving it!

You can also try to find other player reports of becoming stuck in game, being unable to interact with a waypoint or NPC (there are several reports related to boss arenas, but these would likely be a separate issue).

I don't know how to check this.

I've already completed this island and returned to it again. I don't remember whether it was through Makora or a waypoint. But it wasn't a group.

Only with this character. I played through Act 4 with several other characters, before and after the problem. This didn't happen with other characters. But I never returned to the island again with any of them.

There are no network problems. VPN is not enabled. Changing the server did not help.

Thank you. I'll try writing to them again.

Thank you so much for spending so much time trying to solve my problem, even though you're not a support staff member. I'm very grateful to you.
He got out. I don't know what changed. The game was minimized for a long time (after entering the ship instance) while I was writing a message here and to support. Then, not really expecting anything, I clicked on the ladder, and he came down. This happened a few minutes after sending the message to support. Apparently, a very fast guy is on duty today :)
