Considering that the artwork had to be created after the competition’s launch and that the theme should relate to the content introduced during early access, I figured the best approach would be to make something connected to our current league, Rise of the Abyssal.

From the very beginning, I wanted to take a more humorous tone, which can already be seen in the comic’s title — a pun on the current league’s name. That idea led me to create the story of a small monster looking for a bathroom in the Abyss. When he sees a line, he assumes it’s for the bathroom, only to find out — in a rather unpleasant way — that it’s actually the line to get out of the abyss!

To bring the story to life, I decided to present it as a comic strip. At first, I planned to make only four panels, but I ended up expanding it to better develop both the story and the artwork. The exile I chose to appear at the end is an infernalist Witch, the class I’ve played the most so far. While the linework is intentionally loose and playful, I devoted a lot of time to the digital painting. The entire piece was created on an iPad using the Procreate app, and it took me about 14 hours to finish this little beauty!
