If everything goes well, we'll have Merchant tabs in PoE1
Pff, who even plays Standard?

what does this have to do with what he said, besides nothing
10 is plenty. Increasing the number of slots has more downside than upside.

Having ten greatly limits an individual players ability to engage in market price manipulation or arbitrage.

Keep your buying/selling close to current market price and your sales are near instantaneous, making 10 a non-issue.

many times i put sell at highest offer, but then someone else comes and puts higher offer. if u keep 10 slots, then make canceling orders free if they have no trades. then im fine with 10. because right now, i either have to wait a long time for buyers, or lose massive gold when im out of slots, this is NOT ok.

either 20 slots or make canceling completely unfilled orders free.

cancelling partially filled orders can cost the entire gold fee, partially filled orders are not common, usually what happens is i offer the best price, after a few minutes someone else puts a massive sell order 0.1% lower price than me, meaning i must cancel order or i'll never sell. this is extremely annoying, and why canceling orders should be free.

Agree with Piousqd. 20 is more downside, than upside because of trade manipulation.

But there is some sense about "free canceling completely unfilled orders". It also happens to me many times, especially frustrating when trade costs over 30k gold. Why i need to waste lots of gold in this case?

One problem i see - it probably significantly increase amount of offers and therefore load on servers, because people will spam overpriced trades, which they can cancel anytime. So maybe canceling not completly free, but for 20% of initial cost? But works on partially fulfilled orders (you refund part of unused gold)

yes, at least a big discount for unfilled orders. it lessens the frustration of some a$$hole putting a massive sell order 0.001% lower price than yours a few minutes after u offer current best price. if they're gonna sell such a huge amount, put it at least 10% lower than my price, but nope they are a$$holes and put it right below my price (e.g. for chromes, they offer 1 more chrome per divine with a 30k+ sell order). this is why i only put tiny sell orders at any given time now, but when im not playing and the buyers are strong i lose good sell prices. this is extremely unfair, GGG needs to fix this, either 20 slots or 90% refund on unfilled orders.

sounds like you're merching and not playing the game, 10 is more than fine if you're not merching and gold costs from canceling an order aren't even noticeable ( if you play the game )

The game is explicitly built around a player driven trade economy. Engaging in trade is by definition playing the game.
