Just ran into this issue. Used low-level Unearth spell (lvl13, but I do not think it matters) and cast on on Avelyne, the crazy singing dancer. Worked first cast. I just did this today (October 31, 2025) because I had encountered this bug (again), despite them saying it was fixed in previous patches. I opened every door to the outside and killed every monster, and the boss fight still wouldn't start. So I did the Unearth trick, and the boss fight immediately triggered. LOL.
