- Etc.

Choosing not to do the challenges or acquire the Armor Set reward doesn't make my opinion any less important than yours. Had I wanted to do the challenges to claim the Armor Set reward, I would have done so.

You are correct.

Yes, I have 40 challenges. But, it's for the first time ever in 12k hours played. I only did it this league because I had a powerful build and had the time.

If I like the challenge rewards I will go for 36, but I have never ever felt the need to go for the full 40.

Not going for full challenges does not lessen someone's opinion and the gatekeeping seems weird IMO.

That was the timeline I had expected based on the 4-month cycle, and I'm glad it wasn't postponed because the entire team was working on POE 2, but you could've at least told us if mercenaries are going core or not.

I love that we are having arguments on whether devs should listen to people with low number of challenges in POE1, which is proof that the game is back on its feet. Huzzah.

Mercenaries really shake up the build possibilities. I understand why many people including me would want them to go core. What I would do is keep tweaking them and include them every other four month league until they reach the form that GGG wants and is satisfied with and then make them core. So remove them from the October league, put them back in with some changes in the January league, remove them from the April league, put them back in the July league with more changes, etc. for as many leagues as it takes until GGG is fully satisfied with how they play and THEN make them core. Alternating their availability would be another way to shake things up every league.
