Headhunter Shroud Walker buff needs an adjustment

Hi,

I completely understand that Shroud Walker as a HH buff is considered a downside (although the blind from the cloud is useful especially with deflection getting benefits from it). However the way it works seems slightly different than the POE1 version. Correct me if I am wrong.

In POE1 when the teleport part happens it directs towards where your cursor is. This gives you a timed control method to "send yourself" in a direction. Giving you a chance to negate it's ability to put you into a pack of dangerous mobs.

In POE2 the teleport just goes directly towards the mobs. This is a problem and frankly makes me want to get rid of the belt purely due to this and the fact that Shroud Walker rares seem a lot more common.

I think it needs to have the directional control that HH does in POE1 to make the heavy investment into a headhunter feel like it was worth it rather than a regret. If I were playing harcore I probably wouldn't ever wear this but in non-HC I guess you could say it's not that important. But it is.
Fun is everything and anything I see a shroud walker I don't want to kill it, but we have to most of the time to complete a map. If I could click the buff and remove it I could see that being a fair alternative also.

P.S. You can unwear and wear the belt again if you got the SW. But you'll lose all other gained modifiers.
actually if you just build enough defenses and offense Shroud Walker is free flickerstrike.

When I get shroud walker I smile, let my hand off the keyboard, hold down right click, and teleport everywhere blowing shit up. No work on my end.

WITHOUT defenses... it will rip you.
I have complained about this exact thing to a friend just recently. It's especially fun because a lot of my damage comes from a dot, so I tend to keep walking just to get chucked a screen back to a monster that then dies immediately after to it. Kind of annoying.

On the other hand, it can be quite useful when clearing breaches and abysses because it likes dropping me right in the middle of big packs, and I do enjoy that very much.

Shroud Walker is likely pretty common just because the rare mod pool isn't that large? I never checked how many there are exactly, so I could be wrong.

In any case, I feel like I don't really have any complaint equity here because like yeah it can be a pain, but also I have a headhunter.
Bump. Hope they will address this, it feels so awful whenever I get this buff with headhunter.

I do not agree with you. At first I thought the tele is a bit annoying, however after getting used to it now I think it's OP AF. It speeds up clear by a LOT and it allows for insane breach clears.

Like someone suggested, just reset the buffs if you can't handle it, however don't assume it's a downside based on what you want. I think this is the second biggest upside the belt provides.

However I wouldn't mind if it teleported to the cursor, now that would be god-tier OP and I'm all for it :)

It's only a downside if your weak. For me, I just smile and get ported around 1 shotting screen after screen.

gear/skill/build issue.

Find your problem then fix it. Hint, shround walker is NOT the problem.
