[0.3] Acolyte of Chayula Feedback
" GGG should delete Chayula. Utter crap, just compare it to other ascendancies and laugh. What Chayula needs: - Instant 0 delay volatility, longer buff duration and renewable. - Closer remnant spawns, longer buff duration and renewable. - Integrated chaos damage conversion. - Darkness allows spirit, or gives it in another way. - No random crap, we choose which ailment we generate. - Void explosion scales on both damage and attack speed to allow usability for unarmed style. Even with all above it will still be F tier compared to Invoker. |

responding to the original write up -
I loved your write up of your experience. I 100% agree with everything youre saying and I had a similar experience. I wrote about my experience in a much less detailed write up. I use the original sin ring and unravelling and volatility as a whole is inconsistent. I get more volatility out of the crit which I do waste slots on, on nearly every skill. I might just sacrifice ailments all together and use lucid dreaming, inner turmoil and the original sin anyways. |

I think the ascendency is good minions. You can use the flames to apply to minions. You can also use minions for a never ending volatility battery. https://youtu.be/4eycmo2Rllw?si=un6y-LXz1Pd6e7Ra

Solid write up. I missed this when it was posted, so I'll just add my experience here. No real counterpoints.
Volatility: As others have noted, volatility from ailments is sketchy at best from the ascendancy alone. It required the breach lord supports to really feel nice, and for big stacks creating ground effects was more useful than just trying to proc from big chaos hits. So I opted for no full chaos conversion and just used regular ol elemental skills buffed with some added chaos. Worked. Can't say it didn't. Not great on bosses, and you need a big pack to run stacks into the next big pack. I don't mind the manual Catharsis procs, but eh. Do I have to? Leech: Bugged. Does not leech. I've got around 10% of both mana and life leech. Wind blast leeches fine. Staggering palm fine. Hand of Chayula leeches 0. Into the Breach: Didn't play it. Positioning is king late game. I'm not going to go collecting mario coins while avoiding slams, ground effects, curses, and getting the best LoS on packs for safe damage. Void Illusion: Was great. No complaints. Darkness: Na. Since I'm about done for the league I went ahead and respec'd Invoker a couple days ago for science. Double tooltip DPS with no changes. More with a few tweaks. It let me pull damage out, about 9 points in the regular tree and invest in more defense. Dropped my Herald for combat frenzy and got nice consistent charges for Charge Regulation too. Conclusion? Invoker better in every way. |

Still hoping this class is further looked at, to up the consistency of the buffs it intends to grant. I would be fine with the ceiling being lowered for this ascendancy if it was simply more consistent and had a larger impact on bossing

Sap is bugged for life leech? i thought it was the opposite, i get no mana leech at all from it.

People seem to be forgetting that Black flame covenant is in the game. Theres your baked in chaos conversion, also you can use infusions to scale spell damage and when u stack it with purple flames the tooltip can double lol. Also this thing about remnant pick up, literally suggested support gems that allow u to pick them up from farther away.

" So your solution to fix a gimped melee monk is to transform it into a gimped mage, and waist even more support gems ? there are far more mechanical issues than that for Chayula Last edited by ukarudenkai#6946 on Oct 8, 2025, 3:26:29 AM
