Same for me. I wanna stream and make my offmeta yt guides but I cannot. Im fine with game running 50fps but due to lack of game capture it now overloads my encoder so even if game runs 50-60fps my obs outcome is powerpoint presentation.
I wanna play and make content but Im unable to unless I invest in 2nd pc which is a bit much xD Nothing fixes the issue aside of DX12 working with Game capture Just a chill offmeta guy

This remains an issue in 2026.
DX11 and Vulkan work with OBS Studio's game capture, but the trade-offs from DX12 are disproportionate. Currently, working solutions include using OBS Studio's Window Capture mode which introduces a host of problems (i.e., choppy video capture is inevitable). The method the program uses to hook into games and siphon frames is designed to function seamlessly for all DirectX games; the fact that OBS Studio's Game Capture source doesn't work for PoE2 is a reflection of PoE2's DX12 implementation. This is not OBS Studio's issue, it is PoE2's. In the event a developer reads this, they can find more info on OBS Studio's Game Capture here (general info) and here (signed certificate info). |
