Adding Uber Simulacurum to the game

What would we think about addding Uber Simulacurum to the game?
The splinters should only drop from Simulacurum itself, not delirium encounters.

The mods could be twice as hard or maybe they could add some news mods to truly stress test builds.

+1. They could also introduce T17 map mods in Uber Simulacrum to spice things up. Alternatively a new Delirium themed T17 map with Kosis / Omniphobia being fully fleshed out boss fights.
+1
“Freedom is what we do with what is done to us.”
They already added uber simulacrum. Waves 21-30 is uber.
+1, one of the best mechanics that could use some love in one or another way.
Personally I think being able to stack more than 100% deli would be a cool option for uber Sim, or even being able to push maps beyond 100% deli which could reward the player with uber sim splinters instead of the regular one.
t17 deli themed map could also be a cool option tho. So many options, yet such wasted potential.

They did not, the additional waves added back in 2021 never truly reached the level of uber content. Even after the rework, wave 15 sim is a mere joke, even without mercs.
Flames and madness. I'm so glad I didn't miss the fun.

Honestly, makes no sense to stack delirium. It's just a dps stat check that wouldn't make any mechanical difference.

Just add +5 waves with T17 mods.

While we are at it, improve the loot. Unless you drop 3/1 Voice, it's mostly a waste of time.
Ruthless should be [Removed by Support].

So are you saying that waves 21-30 are just as easy as waves 11-20 was before?

Have you farmed simulacrum in hc on a regular old mapping build to wave 30 without ridiculous gear? Then considered the difficulty from waves 1-20 then 21-30?

If by design there was a wave 1-20 at some difficulty x, then they added waves 21-30 were added that difficulty is scaling at some value x+Ay with A being a constant based on additional waves and y being an extra scaling factor. Which it feels this way to me if you're playing a regular build.

Then by definition that would be an uber encounter.

Now if you're playing some aegis build or explody chieftan with cws and you can cheese simulacrum it all feels easy. But go in there on earthshatter zerker in hc and tell me waves 1-20 vs 21-30 doesnt warrant calling it an uber encounter.

I don't think HC as a mode matters at all to evaluate the difficulty of content, since all you do in HC is add the extra steps of more and different gearing depending on your level of confidence and skill, and not look at what content really requires.

If you can farm something consistently on SC or HC, deathless on non cheese builds, you can pretty much do it vice versa as well.
And yes I've farmed countless sim 30 since they added it to the game across multiple character and different budgets, even shoelace budget, and I can pretty comfortably say that this was never anywhere near Uber content. Juicier t16 at best, but that's about it.

And if anything it only got easier over the years. I think the only challenging part is to not fall asleep or get caught off guard while idle watching other content on a second monitor, leading up with unintentional deaths in higher sim waves.

But I think if you're playing HC it should be obvious that you have to keep your attention to the game at all times to prevent unhappy endings. Obvious no brainer

Hc is the only metric by which things are considered more difficult since you dont have 6 portals.

People aren't farming wave 30 sims on a shoelace build unless its tailor made for simulacrum.

If a build needs to be tailor made for that content to be effective then it would fall into the category to be uber content. In my opinion.

Every build can do normal shaper with 100k dps, it just may not be that fun with 100k dps. Not every build can do uber shaper with 500k dps without some incredible luck/skill. Now you take a build tailor made for uber shaper to avoid penetration, tank the slam, and get a ton of recovery. Then uber shaper is a joke. Much like simulacrum on cws chieftan or an aegis build. There is no amount of paying attention in simulacrum that will allow you to outskill it. Too much crap going on on the screen.

Just like t17s, theyre a joke in sc. They're almost impossible for most builds to farm effectively in hc. You will die. Does that mean that t17s are too easy since its easy in sc?

It’s about time for a revamp.
Simulacrum desperately needs an overhaul, even if it means an ‘Uber’ version. The current system is way out of touch, not just in loot, but in difficulty too.

Back in the day, getting to wave 30 wasn’t exactly easy or free, but it wasn’t the big aspirational endgame either, it was a decent challenge, sure, but not something to aspire to. And now? It’s only gotten easier with each league, especially with mercenaries being overly generous and the difficulty being dialed back. If you're still struggling with wave 15, especially during a league where the game is so much more forgiving, something’s gone seriously wrong.

At this point, the current Simulacrum feels more like a mindless grind.
Players should need better optimized characters, not just quickly thrown-together builds where either DPS or survivability is lacking. We’re not talking about mirror-tier gear requirements, but something more akin to juiced T17 maps leading up to Uber content, where unoptimized gear gets punished, and players are forced to face the consequences of bad decisions or poor gameplay. Adding T17 mods, higher base area levels, and delirium past 100% would bring back that real challenge. Players should have to optimize their gear to survive the hits, not just avoid being ZDPS. Right now, it’s all about niche megalomaniacs and single-passive voices being the real cash-makers, while everything else feels like a currency exchange filler, a hollow grind with no real reward or challenge. The system needs an overhaul that challenges players to bring their better builds and really test their skills, rather than mindlessly grinding through it for the lucky jackpot.
