Desecrated Ground is the worst part of 0.3

This update brought so much to the game, then desecrated ground is a just a big middle finger to melee builds.
Please for the love of exiles, give us SOMETHING to mitigate this. Anything. I'll trade my left ring for some phys damage dot reduction. Last bumped on Sep 7, 2025, 2:48:39 AM

Add regen into the mix and you might as well just not bother with melee.
There are some combinations of modifiers that are just outright painful to fight. |

all my deaths happens cause of Desecrated Ground, dosent matter how much ES or Life i have, my monk just become a thin paper on water whenever a rare showed up with this mod.

Yup most deaths are from DOT like in POE 1. It seems like a cop out for balancing, if the player is too tanky just kill him with DOT.

" It's not even the DoT that's the problem here. It, for some ridiculous reason, disables recovery. Like, why? Why is that even a thing? It shouldn't have been a thing in PoE1, either, but even moreso in PoE2 when recovery of some form is basically the only way to stay alive (you can't stack Life ridiculously high in PoE2 like you can in PoE1). |

Its anti-recovery should seriously be changed to only affect ES.
If anything Life Regen and Armor need buffs not this nonsense. |

This season is defenitly rough playing melee...
Not sure what happend to the game. Loved the update, the story, the new bosses etc... I enjoy the abyss too, the mechanic of it, but it's a bit too much for me as it is now. Also it's every single maps so you cant even breath a minute. I miss seing the floor, i'm tired of having to use my abilites from distance all the time because i like melee distance. But it just became too tedious now. I just leave the abyssal depth now when there are weird combo of mods on elite and it's whatever. SSF player

This is slowly driving me mad. Shroud walker roomba abyss mob dumps feces on the ground and you insta die.
