Hideout Warrior (trade) vs. Mapper (play the game)
Trading shouldn't be the best in slot way to play the game. Its not even exciting to get a div drop, when you can just go make 100 div trade. Game needs a balance between trading and playing. Otherwise just make a trading simulator. I can't find 100 div playing maps in the first week of a league, but I can trade for it.

When people find 100 divs only by playing the game, then traders will get thousands of divines with trading.
This is something you cant solve. Only with disabling trade, but then you can play solo self found. |

Trading is great. What I'm trying to get at, for example, is a div drop doesn't even feel good when when items cost crazy amounts of currency.
I'm just saying there needs to be a sink for the wealthy so they don't just horde div effectively making infinite inflation. Even after a few weeks there is so much currency in the game mapping is borderline pointless - finding a few div an hour vs. trading for 100's of divs. There needs to be some balance - need to use your currency so it is scares, not infinitely abundant. Mapping needs to feel meaningful. I love trading, but I also like finding things and having character progression. You can't tell me there is any reasonable economy - I won't believe it lol. |

" I dont exactly understand what you want. Maybe you can explain it more. Dont know if you played the Poe 1 affliction league, but in this league it was normal to find like 10 or more divs in a map. I mean it feels cool to find a div in a map, its nice to find multiple divs in a map, but after a time it doesnt feel special anymore. I had that in the affliction league and i dont want that anymore. And when everyone finds valueable items or currency all the time everything becomes worse and looses its value. Imagine everyone drives a Lamborghini or has its own plane and stuff like that. It doesnt feel special anymore and what is the reason to grind in Poe 2 then? Everyone has the sickest items and you literally dont have to do much for it. The reason to play a loot and grinding game becomes meaningless. If you want to make currency you have to do a lot of maps, start crafting or start trading. Its work or you just need luck. Personally i dont find much whats really worth, but when that happens im very happy. I dont care if some people are rich and swim in currency. I enjoy every div that drops, when i find one and i always have the hope, ok in the next map there is something cool. That makes me happy. |

Ya, I think you get what I'm saying. Yes I did play poe1 - don't think affliction league though. I guess my gripe is that its only a week or so and trades already out of control. Needs to be a more gradual process to accumulate expensive items/currency.

Trade inflation accelerating faster is exactly one of the side effects of instant buyout trade that we wanted about for years.
It may still be worth it in the end, but that's exactly what was always going to happen. The easier and faster it is to trade, the quicker prices adjust to the "correct" market price which is constantly going up because we're generating infinite currency out of thin air by killing monsters. I don't think the game needs to be balanced for single player progression when GGG has always explicitly told us they are designing a trade first, player driven economy ARPG. SSF was added for people that wanted more challenge so even with that they've never balanced around single player. I believe they never should. Just like I believe Call of Duty shouldn't add a farming simulator mode. |

I have seen ppl sniping gear that goes 42 div for 5 exalted...
We need some kind of protection on reselling Like, endgame gear (t1) being acc locked or having a cooldown on reselling (72H) Something needs to be adressed... ATM, it's better to get at map t1 and get some currency and start flipping instead of playing the game! If I had being waiting for some sniping instead of playing I would be 100x times richer than atm... |

I don't really understand why markets correcting themselves is some inherent problem. Prices inflate because we generate infinite wealth. That's the core issue, but i don't think anyone is interested in capping the number of divines on a league like a central bank does. So instead we do seasonal leagues where you can get in on a fresh economy regularly.

Conntraversial solution. To make gold cost dependant on price set like 1 div item woukd be 100k ingame gold cost. Thats like a couple of maps worth of gold
