I enjoy Poe2 now very much. I played until 50 lvl SSF style, avoiding any trades.
That was HUGE mistake. Now I have many good items from market and power and speed lvl is comparable to PoE1. I have enormous multi screen aoe, bosses dies in 4-8 sec max. It is fun. So items are important to enjoy game, and PoE2 is VERY SSF unfriendly game.

I play ssf only (no gamba, and crafting only at maps) and i enjoy the game very much. so it's just a matter of what type of play style you enjoy

This game is in a horrible place , it feels terrible to play even on a meta skill. I have never had even a single moment in PoE2 when i was like wow that felt fun and engaging , it just feels like a slog an unrewarding slog at that given the boring uninspired loot and the atrocious crafting.
I suppose for you walking around with lead boots on at a snails pace and dodge rolling all day in act fights because you cant even move fast enough to get out of the way of anything any other way and the attacks are constant is enjoyable but to me roll roll roll , move out of obvious attack , roll roll roll , one hit , repeat for 15 mins to clear a boss and any mistake start over is a giant middle finger to my time and in return GGG can have the same from me.

If you never had a single fun moment, why are you still playing and why are you going out of your way to talk about it on the forums? Go do something you actually enjoy, nobody's forcing you to play lol

You can put new paint and tires on the car and its gonna look cool and refreshing .
but until you change the engine its gonna run like crap.
Just like PoE2.

Maybe it's time for you to move on? clearly you don't like the game while a lot of us does.

This :D I played as stormweaver and it took me 24 hours to get to maps. Its too long, I have around 1300 hours in poe1 so im not a totally new player.
Act 4 bosses were next to impossible with current gear and level. Interlude was a bit better, but some of the bosses in act1-3 were nerfed to smithereens and some were way too difficult, and I dont see myself leveling another character for another 20+ hours per league

+1 for this. There was a moment after act3 where I thought wow maybe I can actually kill stuff. Then came act4 with total slogfest and every mob having way too much hp

If I learned one thing about this community especially on Reddit is, it's overly negative and dramatic. POE1 peaked at the release of Act 4 everything felt so great back then the gameplay was perfect and pace etc and still people complained.
0.2 was already a huge improv, 0.3 feels amazing so far. POE 2 proved itself being superior than POE 1 in every aspects. Doest it still require work? yes it's still in beta and far from finish, people tend to forget that. But so far, 1.0 will look AMAZING. I'm really happy with it so far.

I'm still not done with the campaign. I'm just past the middle of act 3. I just can't seem to stay locked in. .1 (launch is not an update) and .2 I was done by now. This is why I keep stopping. Once I got into act 2, I got hit with intense boredom.
This actually says quite a bit about me. To put it into perspective, I still play Heroes of the Storm (ironically, has had more updates than this recently) ARAM. A lot.
Thousands of games a lot and I still don't get bored.
It took me two days to get out of act 2 because doing it yet again felt awful.
Once this guy is to maps, I would lke to add a stormweaver but that would take 4 months if I even got there. My intent is to get this guy ready for standard league and never touch the campaign again.
I don't care what they add.

I should start collecting posts like this one - "as long as I can make the game play and feel like PoE 1 I am having fun".
