Campaign skip - Option

Hi, I suggest that the devs create a poll for how many of the player base would like to have the option to skip the campaign after beating the game for the first time.
Before anyone flames and tells me to go play D4 or LE, my answer is I did. I love everything about POE2 and enjoy it far more than any other ARPG I've tried. The only issue that I have is going through the campaign on alt characters. I really don't even mind going through it each season. I'm a casual player who plays for less than 1-2 hours per day. I really want to test and try builds, but going through the acts again is not helping Please, GGG consider this option. If I've already gone through the best part and don't want to go through it again for alts?

But.. how do you want to get to get to end game?
Have a button that makes you level 70+ and off to the maps? Start maps at level one? -- if you think the campaign is boring, just imagine doing maps for 70 levels just to get to end game.. And also for whatever is worth, making a game by polling users is a BAD idea, as bad as they come |

Yeah, I was talking about alts, how do you expect an alt to get to end game? Have push to get to endgame button? That's so silly

Campaign is part of the game, that's how you get to end game. Either you characters can do it or not. If you don't enjoy playing the game maybe PoE is not for you..?

I'm enjoying POE, the game is amazing. Would you just explain to me the appeal/motivation of going through hours of campaign again make me understand your point of view? I might understand and change my perspective

I am leveling my new character, from easy to hard. I enjoy getting to end game, I personally would not like to be put in endgame, it's not rewarding, getting there and the challenges along the way are.
For me ARPGs are about the progression, taking a weak character and making it strong. Not sure how one wants to get there besides leveling up somehow, and to me doing the campaign is more fun and has a better progression curve than doing maps at level 1 to get to.. maps at level 70+ |

D4 tried this, turned out to be horrible because campaign was the better part of the game. Unfortunately that's also the case for poe2 where endgame is pretty bad (endless atlas...chore).
If it would be different way around with bad campaign and good endgame it's still not ideal, you'd want even playing field for all players and expecting new players to skip campaign is weight. Ideally both is fun to play through, campaign and endgame, we'll get there eventually. |
