PoE3 FPS looter shooter idea

Ok hear me out...

In the anticipation of the Borderlands 4 release, I've been thinking of what a GGG version of an FPS looter shooter would look like. Well we already have projectiles, yeah yeah, I'm talking about an actual FirstPersonShooter. I love borderlands but I feel they lack the complexity needed to make a game as epic as PoE. Just imagine borderlands with the skill tree and atlas map that PoE has. Incredible. It's just a thought but I would be completely on board with this and I expect full honors if this is ever made a reality.

But in a player only environment, you cant have buffed up mobs that will make the game unplayable
Talking of borderlands series, there is a hidden 'cheat death' mechanic (similar to d3) that prevents death the first time you receive fatal damage.

Due to the nature of a first-person shooter, you never know when someone is going to shoot you in the back. So it's a way of preventing instant deaths (and frustration) alerting the player to potential danger.

With the amount of threads complaining about one-shots, maybe this can be a good addition to the PoE series since GGG has dropped the Vision.

This is part of the problem why some amount of players are frustrated. We are being babied in some games and once that's gone you get one shot and you cry, because you expect to just walk in front of everything and nothing drastic is gonna happen, because that is what it's like in some games. Well, it shouldn't be there in the first place. Not every game is meant to be a forgiving feelgood game. Bullet Hell arcade mode exist since before people had computers at home. Try to survive as long as you can, better luck next time, muahahaha.
Good idea. Perhaps ggg can turn poe 2 into such a kind of game. i think most of the supporters will like it and for all the other the game is just not made for them.
POE2 is a trainwreck, why would you even think about suggesting a POE3.

“Freedom is what we do with what is done to us.”
makes me think of risk your life x'D like omg i've played that game so many times and i wish it became better and didn't died out xD
3.26 when?
Don't abandon us. don't turn your backs on the ones loving poe.
Ewww. Absolutely not. Hard pass on that one.

Iirc from gameplay footage+previews BL4 skill trees are the most extensive to date and maps equivalents should be the various vault monster dungeons. Not as much number-wise as PoE but still more than any BL game before.

Also (stronger) mobs in Bl4 will have random affixes like H&S arpg monsters which will add to the combat variety to some extent.
Masterpiece of 3.16 lore

Only usable with Ethanol Flasks

Yes, they make improvements in their games over the years but the community still considers Borderlands 2 the best in the series. I tend to agree with that sentiment and that degradation will likely pass on to part 4 if things don't drastically improve.

Their skill trees aren't much better than any previous games. It's still +5% damage on set condition for most skills. That's why I would like to see the complexity of PoE skill trees, with overlap, on a borderlands type game.
