At this point, this is just the vision of the devs.

They think everyone hitting with nerf guns and struggling to complete content is somehow good gameplay. But they fail to realize that might work for peoples' first playthroughs... but no one wants to do this over and over. I've probably leveled a dozen characters through the POE2 campaign's first 3 acts, and it's just a chore at this point.

I want powerful builds that can faceroll the content and not have to worry about grinding for chaos resist every single time I start a new league.

Gold price should be lower for early trades, item level <20 2K gold, 20-40 4K gold etc. Access to the trader should be in in Act 2 at the latest. By then I had plenty of trade currency (exhaults at that time). I'm not playing SSF so why hide the merchant?

trade website exist?

anyone can use trade website at any level with in person trade?

and trade chat lol

did you even check those if those are even viable?

Cool, lets ask dev's to delete asynchronous trade from the game then. The /trade website and trade chat exists after all, lmao.

Wait, let's take it one step further and ask for /trade to be removed. The community will figure out which trade channel to use to sell specific items, like 1-40 for different armour types, 41-80 for weapon types.
Oh, right, than premium tabs will be useless. OKAY, let's even out the premium tabs problem: we can politely ask for option for premium tab groups recoloring, as a HUGE QoL change. NOW that's what I call good TRADE.

I also agree 100%.
There is absolutely no reason to put trade in act4.
you often need items during the early campaign.
when i saw we were finally getting in game trading, i thought i would fall in love with the game forever, then i tried it and found out i needed to get to act4 first.
i almost uninstalled right there.
I did buy 2-3 items on the trade website, if i had had access to the in game trade i would have bought 10-20.

If the problem is the gold cost, and that you think people will not have enough gold to trade in early campaign.
Then surely the fix is to make low level item trade CHEAP, not remove it completely!

Please fix this.
While you are doing that, also make it possible to ctrl click an item in inventory and get the stats transferred to trade search window, so that you can search for items like your own item but better.

Thank You In Advance ;)

It’s in Act 4—but guess where the joke is.

You either move your premium tabs into merchant tabs, or you have to buy merchant tabs outright.

The problem? You can’t customize these tabs, and you can’t set a single price for all the items inside. Instead, you’re forced to price each item one by one if you want to sell them.

Worst system ever.

In the end, you lose your premium tabs (and money) without gaining any real benefit.

And it gets worse: they added a marketplace with an option to choose between buying from players or from the merchant. Most beginner players don’t notice this and only see a limited set of items—so they end up buying directly from the merchant. That pretty much sums up how bad the design is.

Careful, mods love to delete posts that identify the problem.

It’s obvious they locked it because they don’t want a black market to cause inflation in prices. But locking it in Act 4 is still a terrible and lazy solution.

I agree with your frustration, but saying the developer should be fired is too much. They’re just doing what they were told to do, so we should at least respect the work.

As for a solution, the best fix would be to introduce fixed prices in a proper marketplace system—like an auction market—so items can be sold fairly without all these problems.

you are absolutely correct, who thought of this one, You can't trade until act 4 meeting Ange someplace and you can't get to cat 4 without chaos resistance maxed out. Not sure who thought that was a good idea, but it is not. Might just be done with this league again because I can't get through the poison fight in act# Seriously annoyed again.

I hate being that guy, but if you cant get to act 4 without MAXED chaos res(???) then maybe its just skill issue
Gold prices should be significantly lowered. I'm finishing acts and have around 15,000 gold, but any decent item costs way more. This forces you to farm gold wherever you can, rather than letting players strengthen their builds. Instead of enabling progression, you're deliberately putting obstacles in the way. Where do these absurdly high prices even come from?

I want to craft a shield — just buying the base item costs 40,000 gold. That's at least 5–6 maps worth of farming, an entire hour of grinding just to afford one shield — and often even more. What's the point of this? Why?

Either increase gold drop rates, or set reasonable prices.
