I gave this league 12 h but POE2 is Just Anti-Fun

Locked roll into sprint keybinding just killed my last wish to play this. Did some tests with blink - it activates sprint every other time I use blink, no matter how fast I smash the spacebar. It means - you just cant use blink as escape tool anymore, you got stunned while sprinting, you dead. Who tf was testing this?? I dont even have much of cast speed, its just 40lvl.
As a ranger player (I did ranger in all patches so its not some meta sheep, I play drow ranger in dota, adc in League) I cant say much as my view of difficulty is flawed, but it says a lot when 0.1 had the most build diversity.

I played cast on shock ranger, cold snap was busted, pure LA was good, spark sorc, Astramentis blinks on highest end, gemling stat stacker, monk stat stacker, bell monk, flicker strike monk, infernalist, trampletoe....

So many things I partied up.

In 0.2 I played ed/c Lich. It worked but was tedious. Lighting spear was cast on shock repeat, and warrior was in there.

This patch everyone is miserable. Yes LA ranger seems the best, but man is it nowhere near original power level.

Also, act 1 is easy with every class. Around an hour to an hour and a half to finish.

Act 2 to endgame is still a slog no matter the class.
Tawhoa's Tending along with other Lineage Support Gems were quoted to be build defining and yet the explosion is only TEN PERCENT of totem Max HP.

Just imagine:
Greatwood, Hardy Totems II, Urgent Totems II, spec all into totem life and damage on tree and jewels.
Along with presence mods/+6 melee weapon/etc. (Sceptre too?)

And yet with 2/3 totem clusters (Watchtowers cluster missing), my totems are only 1771 HP and would deal 177 aoe damage per cast. Even for regular mobs this would be terrible to scale and my intention was to use something like this for bossing.

Now I look to my backup: Gemling Hollow Palm Flicker Strike and I find out that GGG stealth changed the quality passive AGAIN on League launch and now instead of damage per power charge it's just crit hit chance. Not only did they update their 0.3 patch notes daily, they also made a hidden SECOND quality passive change on League launch.

I didn't know "ALL CLASSES BUFFED" would result in Flicker being gutted, sneakily too.
pretty much agreeing with everyone here. I gave up on a Sorc at level 15 because it was so sluggish and not fun.
rolled a Monk to try and see Act 4 and it's been painful, slow, boring and tedious.
even white mobs seem to either take forever to kill sometimes. have they ninja buffed mobs or boss HP? or did they just nerfed player power more than they say they did?
everything feels like banging your head against a wall. they seem to have buffed nothing.

I already regret buying a supporter pack. never again!

POE2 is garbage, i'm done with this shit game, people playing it still prolly hate themselves
Fully agree. POE2 gameplay is a complete garbage, I just don't know the game worse than that: suffer on campaing to suffer in endgame.
We expected to see increased action speed, buffs to skills/passives, but what we see? Another hidden nerfs, crap sprint mechanic with inertia, another useless passive tree skills devs should pay attention at and spread the work to balance that.
I'm happy that I decided to not believe in another layer of developers promises and take some sleep instead of running acts, I'm happy that I drop this league after trying sprint mechanic and saw some "buffs" for skill gems.

Dear developers, you could make sprint way more fun, if you already added inertia to make it more.... useless or complete dogsh.. realistic (cmon) you could also change the way how players affected after getting a hit while sprinting. If he wearing armour and has armour>evasion - character not falling but slowing instead, if he has more evasion - character falling like now, if he wearing robe with ES - he being oneshoted. I guess, this suggestion will help you improve the game, make it more better and more exciting, so players would think twice should they are sprint or not. That's what everyone expects from ARPG, right?

I just don't understand for which audience game is developing for? Devs just don't know why POE1 became so popular and why it's fun to play.

P.S. At least the game has a good visual and sound. Cheers to art and sound team team.
P.P.S Hopefully, one day devs give player an option to enable only important effects because it's awfull to play with such amount of particles/effects/explosions and not being dead from some voidzone or volatile. Whos from developers said that the game should be available to play on 1660 or 1060? :)
The First Herald boss, IMO, is one of the worst bosses I've experienced in any ARPG game ever.

As usual, everything is tedious and annoying. I'm just going through and seeing all the new stuff they added and just dropping this game and seeing what they change going forward.

This game is literally Souls-slop. It isn't even a Diablo-like anymore.

Edit: and generally, I cannot even explain how relieved I feel after defeating bosses in this game. Compared to other ARPGs where I can farm bosses on end without much issue. This game is just so tiring.

I don't believe for a second that someone at GGG tested the campaign from the start with a fresh character. Majority of the builds are so underpowered compared to mobs that it's just a struggle to get through the zones. I just want Jonathan or any other member of the staff that released this update to just stream the game and let me know how they want us to play this game. Even when engaging with the combat systems like skill combos/support gems/new tree nodes the results are the same, we struggle beating white mobs because for some reason they have so much hp that they take 3-4 combos to kill, minutes of combat for rares/abyss mobs. I've played this game since the start and let me tell you the game was in a much playable and enjoyable state in 0.1
I don't know who came up with the idea of collision boxes spawning before the actual mob is visible in the abyss mechanic. I don't know who came up with the shitty abyss/breach/ritual placement in some maps (Mire is particularly horrible). It's dog shit if u didn't know.
You know it's an awful game when sprint and automated trading isn't enough to mask the smell.

Oh well, back to PoE 1 and hope they can get it right with PoE 3!!
