Relatively new to PoE2 (1 month now). I thought this is how you are supposed to PoE2 as a beginner. I had been comboing skils.

Why are folks complaining about it? Don't they like combos?
If you want to be a metaslave, fine, but at least realise that a nerf doesn't mean it's gutted.

But on 0.3.0 reveal they've said it's weakest defense type and needs a buff. Now they are are nerfing weakest defense just because so many people wanted to try it out.
well all of this just proves my point , instead of bringing down strong things , bring up weak things , is it such a bad thing to have fun.

this isnt a soul like game , even if they want it to be , we dont .

Combos are fun when you can apply player agency to them. For instance if i want to use an escape skill like disengage or escape shot, I could put a debuff support gem like daze on it. Then put a support gem that exploits daze on a gap closer skill, and go back onto the offensive, That feels satisfying and makes me feel like it's my build.

Forcing me to generate three endurance charges, for one ancestral totem is not satisfying, it makes me feel like my best option is to play something else. Sometimes you slam rocks to make them explode and sometimes you yell at them to make them explode..... Why? Why not just have all those structures be player targetable and let them decide the most fun way to detonate them?

Nerf until no more zoom zoom boom boom ridiculousness.

No, they need to nerf even more things. Players are still obscenely powerful and the enemies can barely fight back.

This game was far too easy in 0.2.
How on earth could you consider evasion being nerfed? They "nerfed" block by making you take 2x as many hits to compensate for the ability to block AoE. Evasion can still scale up to 95%, but requires more stats to reach the cap in exchange for being able to block AoE. Evasion then has deflect which can be scaled up to 100% chance to take 40% less hit damage. Evasion is broken OP right now.

New Chance to Evade formula:
chance to evade = ( 1 - ( attack_accuracy * 1.25 ) / (attack accuracy + defender evasion rating * 0.3 ) * 100

Chance to Deflect formula:
chance to deflect = (1 - ( attack_accuracy * 0.9 ) / ( attack accuracy + defender deflect rating * 0.2 ) * 100
Evasion overall will probably be better, as you get acro naturally, while still maintaining a high amount of evasion and deflection. Still by far the strongest layers of defense you can have.
