Genuinely curious about your perspective - would you like it if they made all mtx items TRADABLE

Hold your horses, before you think it could open the door for potential "RMTing" in a way. With this hypothetical MTX trade system, you can only trade MTX items for MTX items, and selling MTX for items for ingame currency is against ToS.


Thoughts?

I think it would cut into GGG profits and make the game worse in the long run.

I just buy the stuff I think looks cool.

Not really sure whats the benefit here...

- you want all-time available mtx... just buy it, why need to swap?
- you want exclusive mtx... well, that´s the whole idea behind exclusivity - that they are only available for certain tasks or in a certain time-frame. Being able to trade them robs that exclusivity and probably cuts into GGG´s profits.

Like, if you make a suggestion like that you need to put in more thought in yourself about what it would actually achieve. I dont see the point.

It drive up demand for them. It become legitimate RMT by Gaming companies Where you sell real monetary game items for in-game currency. If that is the intentional, they could make stash tab tradeable. There would be a huge demand for them. Some gamers might hate it but it could seriously drive up profit for GGG.

The moment you can trade them is the moment they become RMT. Here is how:

You buy an exclusive MTX. Wait for it to come off the MTX shop. Then list it for the RMT item you want + a weta pet. In game you trade for the weta pet through whatever system they have in place and include an additional trade for the Mageblood which is the actual trade -- the weta is just overhead to facility the transfer of the exclusive MTX through the approved MTX trade system.

Way too much potential for RMT / abuse.

No because you would then see demigods on those who didn't earn it. RMT already exists in the game, there is no reason to open up even more avanues for it.

Demigods are already tradable.

many things wrong with this, but the top 3:

1) Exclusivity / "Limited Time": this would lose all meaning. Probably the biggest hit against something you buy specifically BECAUSE it is generally limited time. Having a higher "trade value" due to rarity doesn't change the fact that it removes the exclusivity of the mtx itself. People do 40/40 for the limited mtx. People play leagues and challenges because of the limited mtx. People buy league packs because of the limited mtx. This would be just a huge middle finger to the past, and terrible for the future (see #2).

2) Profits: less reasons to purchase new stuff if you can just continuously trade. Also, RMT would have people buying from THEM instead of from GGG.

3) Cumbersome: we have enough issues with trade already and you want to add ANOTHER trade system? God only knows how crappy that system would be.
