An Idea for Minion Controls

Guys, I have an idea, I dunno if it's a good idea but I think it has some merit. Hear me out.. what if.. we have the minion controls from the Overlord games. Specifically the ability to move them with the right joystick.

For controller on console it would be SUPER useful, being able to manually direct my entire group of minions to a specific place would so incredibly helpful for some situations. They often stop in doorways, or I'm forced to run into enemy groups to force them to respawn next to me. This would solve that so much.

There’s a hotkey on mouse and keyboard you can bind to direct your minions. Just hover your mouse where you want them to go and click that key and they go there.

I haven’t played controller but I assume there’s a way for you to bind that key / use it on controller as well?
There is, but, it constantly targets enemies. Then they don't move. And barring that? The furthest it goes is like a few feet in front of me. So I have to run into combat and look away from enemies to try and guide them.

Pair that with the fact I use storm mages? Well.. there's a glitch that's been here for a LONG time now. The mages lighting won't hit consistently, cause they will stop an inch outside of their effective range. Which means if I tell them to attack something and they aren't close, not hit it at all lol.

So overall it's a juggling act to try and make them do what I want lol.

I also play with controller and can not understand why they removed the alternative targeting function where you could hold the direct minion skill to get a circle where you could place the marker with the right stick to command minions to go there. It worked pretty nice in my opinion but is completely gone since 0.3 dropped. Please bring this back! Commanding minions to position in front of me before enemies are on screen is needed for a summoner but impossible on controller right now.
all of this is not a problem if they would up minion movement speed and aggro radius. or give us the option to increase these values ourselves. then there would never be a reason to micromanage them at all, unless the player wants to.

right now, its a 'need' if you are not running cocaine ants.

cocaine ants should be exactly the baseline, for aggro radius, and movement speed.

and all of these issues go away. cocaine ants literally, are what everyone is using for a reason. regardless of how hard they do or dont hit.

I'd just like to bind an a-move to mouse left button.

This way the minions would always go in front of me to battle.

What is a-move you ask?

E.g. in Dota, you click a and somewhere - the character goes that way until something is in range of being attacked, then attacks it.

That would also be nice, anything really that will give more control. I feel like a shepard guiding dumb sheep rather than a necromancer commanding the undead. 😂
