This is a valid question...
Why the need to "convert" when you can just use existing to support the new trade NPC? By the way guys...(and gals) the stash tabs promo is now "ON". Get those prem tabs in order so u can convert as necessary when the update drops next week and you can offload ur lewtz in peace of mind :D While the snow remains,

" They are not. Merchant tabs are not stash tabs. They are a set of tabs you can access when you click on the new NPC. Its unclear, but I expect you cannot place anything into it without setting a price. More importantly, if you convert all your premium tabs into Merchant tabs, you will no longer have those tabs in POE1, and they won't appear until the new merchant is created in POE1 whenever they decide the system is in a good enough shape for POE1. At the time of this post the conversion has not be implemented at "account" page.
Add-on / Edit " Merchant tabs are not stash tabs, but they are adding the functionality to convert premium to merchant because that's the main purpose for prem stash tabs, right? For public trade. I would reckon once .3 drops, they will add Merchant tab as MTX. Or quest reward ....or as an EVENT type reward if they feel generous..? premium tabs purchased BEFORE the release of .30 are eligible to be upgraded to merchants tab for free.This process cannot be undone. Please note that shared tabs are shared amongst your account. Any tab that you upgrade will be unavailable for use in POE1 until merchant tabs are made available there. Any items in an upgraded tab will remain in a remove only version of the premium stash tab. So what are premium stash tabs good for after .30? We'll not be able to convert quad tabs to merchant tabs.
So I ve around 10 normal tabs to deposit my items and around 5 quad I was using to trade. Now I've to upgrade all my normal tabs into premium before the 0.3 release, spending more money. Please GGG consider to give us the possibility to convert quads into 2-4 normal premium. | |

" Depends on what kind of seller you are. If you care about any items that you don't want reaching scalpers hands, you might want to vet bots by normal trade for example. Even though GGG tries hard to deal with bots they are still there. |
