Is Eagon still in the game?

Is his presence in my hideout just a reminder that I will not get that challenge done? It has been 3 days since I finished the last memory thread. Did he take a vacation? Has all the threads already been explored?

Is this a sign to start a new toon or what? Anyone? This is worse than finding Waldo.......

GGG can you change my RNG chance? This truly, truly, truly, sucks........

I am convinced there is a bug with strand spawns where you can get state locked until you clear the state except you don't know what that state is so just throw stuff at the wall.

I did 98-100 without seeing him, prior to that it was every 5-10 maps ish (i had the extra chance specced the entire time)

Obviously it could just be bad luck, but those two incident rates are so far apart i'd be unbelievably unlucky to have a string that long that then when resolved returns back to 5-10 maps again.

Something funky is def going on with his spawns. Could all be rng i guess but it's just all over the place.
I also refuse to believe that someone like me who plays a whole lot of maps can go without a spawn for days on end only to get 3 in 1 the day after is the intended spawn rate.

Those only boost you from a base 5% to ~7%.

Like others have said, there does seem to be something wonky with spawns. I've heard all kinds of theories, my favorite of which was "state locked until you find him in an einhars memory". After 40 maps or so of not finding him (with atlas passive points spec'd, and another 20 with maven/eldritch influence turned off (another half baked theory), i tried the einhar unlock theory. 20 einhar maps later, had still not found him, when back to normal mapping, and found him within 5 maps.

... so who knows? RNG? magical unlock? Pray to rnjesus and try all the hocus pocus.

now that im not looking for him, I find him about 1 in 20 maps running 16.5's w/o atlas spec, and with eldritch influence.

Still no Eagon. Going to finish what I need for the 36 challenges and be done for this league. Not fun when you need to do something and it's broken. Hopefully when they release POE 2 they will be able to hire enough people to work on fixing both games. Until then I will look at the challenges for the upcoming leagues and if any are locked behind RNG I will just skip it.

I got my Eagons now after some doubts. if you really want him, spam white t16(doesn't have to be t16 but better for the loot in the memory strains obv) just run for the merc and look around a little don't do much else. Got two memory strains in the last hour. Got 3/4 fromm all memory boss maps for the challenge now but i still haven#t finished the darrrn infamous challenge, this seems liek the hardest challenge if you haven#t payed attention to challenges from early on...

It isn't broken.

Finding him quite regularly. Maybe once in 5-10 maps.
Running the atlas spec and memory influenced maps only.
