I also don't really like player to player trade in games (and think that auction houses are much better), however in certain cases it's the devteam's vision and there is absolutely nothing they'll do about it.

Take for example Warframe, where for years have people been asking for an auction house system, and yet DE keeps doubling down on their "no auction house, ever" vision.

However this is a much worse example than PoE as in WF trading is the only way to get Platinum for free and the game is a massive slog without it.

But also I have no idea if there have been ARPGs with auction house systems.

As I said in my previous post; no ARPG in the history of ARPG's has ever nailed trade. Trade has, in most popular cases, been debated heavily, where 'most' people have been somewhat unhappy with the result.

Players unhappy with trading is because they don't want to have trade for better items and want to find items on their own. And also, to craft items on their own without astronomical amounts of trading to get their mats from trading.

On the other hand, trade enjoyers are happy with the game balanced for trading because that's what they enjoy.

GGG (and D2 before that) has completely tilted towards trading when it comes to balancing the game. Or simply, solo players cannot compete with traders.

Last Epoch is a breath of fresh air because it not only acknowledges the divide between solo players and traders, it also tries to solve the divide/balance by giving solo players something to compensate for lack of trading.

No.

Some players are unhappy with trade because they want a more SSF-friendly balance. Others are unhappy for various other reasons. Hell, I think most players are unhappy with the lack of answers due to a bad trading system. But going into a game centered around trade just to complain about having to trade is pretty futile in my opinion. It's like going into a platformer and complain about having to jump.

GGG always wanted PoE to be a game centered around trade. That is never going to change. Sure, they might improve drops and crafting, as they did this league, but trading will always be a foundational pillar in PoE.

LE has a unique approach, I'll give them that. Haven't really played it myself, so I can't really speak about the balance between trading and SSF. It's all about what kind of game the developers wants it to be. GGG clearly want PoE to be centered around trade, and that should be totally OK. Every game doesn't have to appeal to every player.
Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.

LE doesn't do any of those things. LE just actively punishes trading by making it objectively a bad thing to do. They could fully remove trading and people wouldn't even notice. That's how well-balanced it is.
Trade is considered vastly superior to CoF still it isn't really made worse, but LE as a game is worse for trade because its an item generation fantasy and doesn't have the rich depth of trade options available in PoE

May I ask what exactly are the "rich depth of trade options"? Choose to buy from players or from bots? Try buying but you won't get an answer? Try selling but you can't answer in the middle of a boss fight? Dodging bots that scour the website to fix prices?
ye ppl stop trading when league dies after like week 3
Well yesterday someone said to me 'Thank you for the trade, daddy' after I undersold them 7 Doryani's Institutes after listing just one. Was weird, but also made my day.
