Yes, this would keep people play longer.

" Value is tied to rarity " Cuz it guarantees its rare Historically a 6 months grind was expected to reach lvl100 in PoE1s early days, nowadays it takes about 2-3 days for folks achieve that. Thats what adding playerpower for a decade+ will do and PoE2 is going down the same road. Devs said as much multiple times. So just because its hard to do now doesnt mean it will stay like this forever. |

" That's a fair point. Getting to 100 should still be difficult. But we need a reward worth the sacrifices and hard work. The worst that could happen is that they make level 100 achievable easily with no reward or goal behind it. That would be very lame IMO |

" showing the status of level 100 on the leader board is a bragging rights and that itself is the reward of achieving level 100. there should not be any mirror rewards for this achievement. 34pre98qua

" It's not about bragging but about keeping enjoying the game after months of tense grind. lvl 99 to 100 is almost hardcore in softcore if you want to make it and it should still be this way. But AFTER, like I said: full fun, regear, crush the game, no fear of dying. It's all about keeping the fun and player engaged. Who cares about bragging. |

" Bragging rights is and will always be the reward. If thats not enough for you, dont go for lvl100 then. Its not needed anyways. Its always been like that. " Wont be easy for quite some time but its going to be easier with each and every toy added to the basegame. They already screwed up, if making the game slow was actually their goal, which I highly doubt. That ship has already sailed cuz they repeated the same mistakes they made in PoE1 in this specific regard. The difference is that it took PoE1 some 5-6 years to get to the point we already are at in PoE2 and thats by design. So go figure. |

" Finishing the game and reaching level 100 are different things. Deciding that hitting max level is the ultimate goal is your choice, not the games design. Its meant to be optional, not a mandatory grind needed to get a big payout. "Beidat honored the pact, though Mancy wouldn't take off Doryani’s prototype."

I think every time someone reaches 100 they should be flown out on a private jet to meet the GGG crew and be given loads of cash with taxes already paid...Why not? Itll motivate people to play to 100.
Or just make the game fun enough for players to enjoy without a carrot being dangled from a stick. This would turn lvl 100 into every single players number one priority, and no one would enjoy it any more than they do now. Heres a false equivalent: Would you enjoy being beaten with a stick for countless hours? Would you enjoy being beaten with a stick for countless hours if you were rewarded with 100$-300$? Some people might just endure it sure, but they wouldn't enjoy it anymore than doing it for nothing. They just want their 100-300. It doesnt make the game more fun to play. |

" I enjoyed the grind otherwise I wouldn't have done it ! Being hard doesn't mean it's not fun. OFC some stuff need to be balanced and upgraded (see other threads) but that's not the subject there. The proposal is just a fair prize for a hard, successful grind. If you achieve something great it's normal to be rewarded. I guess it's how you see things in general. What's the goal then? When you one shot all the bosses with meta build? For now this is a goal less game and that sucks. Going in circles hoping to get a mirror? It's toxic. Like a gambling addiction. My proposal gives a meaning to the end of the game while keeping players excited. It doesn't OBLIGE people to go for level 100. Unless you really want a mirror. But it gets into the base of an ARPG, which is upgrading your char and with a mirror that would be a major upgrade, yet not mandatory per say. |
