The Inflation is faster than my grind..

So i geared up ok-ish for the league in the first 2 weeks, and start saving for 1400 dps staff or very good amulet.

But i've noticed something , with every week the inflation is outpacing my currency grind.
Example.
In week 2 the amulet i was saving for went from 88 divines to 95.
In week 4 the same amulet is now 1 mirror ( over 700 divines).

The same goes for the bis weapon for cyclone.

How ppl are just deciding something is suddenly worth 10 times more..
Now i see same weapons worth 3-12 mirrors.
This is insane and unreachable.. I grind after work like 2-3 hours per day, including only full rolled 180-200 quantity tier 16.5 maps, with 5 sinergised scarabs inside.

Suddenly making 20-30 divines for 2-3 hour of gameplay isnt enough to buy you what u want..

GGG should really think about making tailored gear for classes and not make the gearing system like a fkn lotto 1/10000bln drops..

inflation and re-valuation in the first 2 weeks of a league is ALWAYS nutty. Typically it starts to steady around the month mark.

That is always the case, supply is super low in the begnning and begins to ramp up on every single item after a few weeks. This is the very reason why folks are obsessed with racing to the end of the game as soon as possible on league launch.

What you need to aim for is middle-tier gear, which in general is likely 1/10th the cost it was 2 weeks ago now.

Unreachable for you (and me), maybe - but not for everyone. And luckily, you don't need mirror-worthy gear to do anything but the hardest Valdo maps and deepest delves.

I don't really sympathize with this "as long as I, personally, can't get BiS items, the system needs a rework"-attitude. Loot-based games thrives on players wanting, not having. When the want is gone, the game (or character) becomes stale.
Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.
When that happens I quit the league…
But, well, GGG must do something and act.
I can trully say that this does not happen because players, but from RMT companies

When the carrot is gone for too long the donkey simply stops pulling the cart.
And even deeper, the whole loot system is messed up.
The game shouldnt be only for the 0.1% of the nolifers to obtain..

The same issue is present in many more games which simply die off due lost of interest of the majority, while the company caters to the minority.

And the ,,need, might be to gear up few characters and not to grind mindlessly to obtain 1 fkn item for 1 character till the end of the league..

Ive been here LONG before you to know ,that
when the carrot is gone for too long the donkey simply stops pulling the cart.

You've been here long before me? In PoE or in life? I doubt both, to be honest. Anyhow, yes, I agree - if the carrot is gone for too long, the donkey stops. But how long will the donkey go for once it has eaten the carrot?

The GAME isn't only for the 0.1% of "nolifers". 0.1% of the game is for the 0.1% of "nolifers". And I don't see that as a bad thing.

And "gear up" means BiS items in all slots?

I'm sorry that happened to u OP, but it is quite simple actually.

If u can't afford it in week2, then u'll probably never afford it, unless u can put alot more time into the game than the previous weeks. (assuming it's meta and mirror worthy)
Prices, like everything with PoE, multiply over time, because the top players multiply their wealth over time.

I don't know the amulet u want to buy, but buying a 1400dps Staff seems to be the very top end of that category. I think u need to settle with something worse, maybe a 1,3k dps staff? (filthy I know)

There are of course items that get cheaper over time, but those are usually not a min-maxers wet dream.
The difference between a mirror item and a single step down (we are talking MAYBE 10% worse)....is hundreds of divines.

If the OP is unwilling to compromise and MUST have the absolute best, otherwise the game is trash.....then he is not going to be willing to listen to anything else that anyone writes here.

I bet he also hasn't even considered or tried crafting the gear himself....ever, for a fraction of the price, with the way he talks.

IT has quickly become yet another thread that isn't actually about a PROBLEM, but about a player with FOMO unwilling to either accept or change to adapt to what the GAME is telling him to do. And then scapegoating that EVERYTHING is only for the top .1% and its GGG's fault.

This almost literally never happens....maybe YOU stop playing games but just because YOU stop playing, doesn't mean the GAME died off.

PoE is currently in the strongest state it has probably ever been (by objective measures). And if you've been around as long as you say you have....the you certainly know that mirror tier gear isn't and hasn't ever been leading the game to the grave.
