F**king really??? MTX is the focus now?
And any patches will be like every 4 months only?
Why is it even marked as early access when it is already in post release mode?
First get to full release then focus on MTX... freaking greed everywhere, just lovely... great and awesome... couldn't be better

You think the cosmetics team are doing dev things?

You think they are unable to do artwork for new stuff that should be in new acts? When they are doing artwork that is for sale...
I think it shows priorities and Its sad that priority shifted from actually finishing the game first to just milk money as much as possible... I have nothing against MTX (actually makes it viable when everything else is in place), but the timing just now is very unfortunate...
""Enabled the existing Watcher's Wrath Armour Set, Archon of the Atlas Armor Set, Skull of Undeath, Syndicate's Demise Unique Finisher Effect, The Originator's Portal Effect, and Rose Charges microtransactions for use in Path of Exile 2.""

theres 5000 micro transaction MTX stuff in POE including Hideouts and its MTX contents and other "previous" core pack MTX we payed you 500$+ that should be priority before your latest ones "which sucked btw"

so at this rate, we will have our MTX completed by 2035

is this a joke?
I don't understand why this community is so awful to GGG. You have this team of passionate developers that actually play their game, and are really transparent and willing to do many interviews even ones with hard hitting questions, and release massive updates each league with content that far exceeds other titles and people still complain.

I do agree that this patch looks bad in the sense that they took the servers down for a MTX upgrade but.. are people here just ignoring that they fixed a server crash at the same time? GGG likely would not have done the update if it wasn't also to fix a crash.

People complaining about the game being dead are ridiculous, the next update is just over one month away, and from everything we are seeing looks like it will be yet another massive amount of content.. If your not having fun with the game right now, just take a break and come back.

People seem to be expecting GGG to release the same amount of endgame content each league and keep to the same 3month schedule they used to have, and ignoring the fact that the game is in EA and there's a lot more content that they are having to release each league for the game instead of the usual endgame content only that leagues typically get

People are asking for what they promised. They promise a lot and haven't delivered on anything they said. If they don't have the capacity, money, or team, they could just say they can't deliver on their promises.

They abandon communication in an EA; that's ridiculous. This shows how they don't care about the community.

I have been rather disappointed in the game lately and this patch didn't exactly help. That said I agree many of the comments are a bit over the top. If you expected content released at a consistent cadence in EA you probably had incorrect expectations.

However, this is partly GGG's fault by setting up EA more like a released game launch than a game in an actual beta test (which this clearly is). I'm actually more annoyed with the failure accept the need of (or slow walking) an actual, feasible trading system than I am with the amount/timing of content like classes/acts etc..

Hmmm constantly crashing on [Lost Towers] tower map. Happening no matter what Direct X channel I use at this point.
Got a random youtube video pop up about new patch 0.2.1B, thinking must be big since I stop watching most POE2 news. Didn't noticed POE2 is still installed on my drive. Check patch 0.2.1B, immediate uninstalled. Thank you for reminding me to free up some drive space.

Yeah, legitimate crying you're doing there, because they aren't showing artwork for the game itself, just mtx.

Oh wait: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3786417

You're just complaining to complain.

I am not going to lie this is some very goofy behavior GGG. There are a major issues with the game right now especially regarding trade and price fixers yet instead of addressing these issues you release a patch for MTX. My god make that make sense, please do better you are killing the game for new players and players who are still currently playing which clearly shows in the player count that just keeps dwindling. No hate love the game but CLEARLY there are major issues that need addressing not MTX bogus items that no one actually cares about. Thank you
You're being way too dramatic here. Different teams work on different things - the art/monetization team isn't the same people fixing trade issues. Acting like they can't walk and chew gum at the same time is silly.
The game's been out for what, a month in early access? Trade will get sorted eventually but they still need to keep the lights on. And honestly, plenty of people DO care about MTX - just because you don't doesn't mean nobody else does.
The player count thing is normal for any game after the initial hype dies down. Chill out a bit, the sky isn't falling.

The game has been out a month? Dog… it’s been like 8 months and their plan was to go live in 12 months. There have been nominal tweaks/improvements to things since Dec but the larger issues that would plague any diablo-esque ARPG in terms of crafting/trading, balance, character-strength-progression curve, general enjoyment of the league mechanics/activities haven’t really improved all that much and in most cases have been getting worse I’d argue. I think it’s fair to be a little concerned with the general state at the moment and outlook even if not always expressed in the healthiest/most productive manner by some members of the community.

I mean I’ll check in from time to time moving forward (like every few months) to see where it’s at but eventually I’ll stop doing that if it’s consistently/still looking bleak and that’s sad because this franchise and development team really did have a ton of potential and they definitely are passionate about their work.
