The in game ggg message: thank you for yoyr support
" lol i find it amusing your immediate response is to talk so condescendingly down to me. but i dont expect much from forummers nowadays so whatever lol. as for chris. he greenlit the switching of divines and exalts. when players who spent years accumulating exalts had their wealth reduced by 90%, chris responded with "you guys should have diversified" with a shit eating grin. also, folk like you pretty much fail to realize, poe1 ended up going in a direction away from his own vision. he wanted the game to be more slow and deliberate and more towards poe ruthless. but yeah please feel free to project chris as the saviour of poe. " I'm not saying a agree or disagree with you on the "Chris" issue, but when you respond to someone, starting the sentence laughing at them, using the word "complex" and ends it with calling a point of view "wild", you sort of started the "condescending" bit yourself. Just saying :) Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.

" Chris wasnt the saviour of PoE, he's the creator of PoE. Also can you at least use capitals occasionally? Lastly, you started this with the "complex" remark. |

" because it is a complex. many people always seem to see him as the person responsible for how poe is today totally disregarding the POE vision that he wanted. which was NOT how poe is like today. for sure he is the creator of poe. he spearheaded the game. but the game definitely is not the game he set out to make. " This is actually one of the reasons why I liked Chris so much. He listened to his community, asked for feedback, and had to make difficult decisions when it came to supporting the game. Balancing his vision, what the community would ask for, and what would facilitate the longevity of PoE couldn't be easy by any means. He did his best, and it's sad he left, but I feel Mark is a great successor for taking over the reigns given the current day situation. |

" None of them are unlisted. https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-forum/patch-notes " That'd be correct. Chris has been gone for quite some time, longer than you probably realize, and things were already bad before that. I'd say he bowed out at more or less the right time. " i would say he sacrificed his vision for the community. giving fans what they want is not necessarily a bad thing. just that we have to understand, that he did what he needed to do for the business/game to succeed, not because he wanted to, but because he needed to. imho POE is in a stable state, but got fucked by poe2 when they released it too early and spoiled their entire schedule, resource allocation etc. but besides that POE can exist without chris at this point. my best guess is chris saw that he's done enough for POE. he wanted to finally make the game that he wanted to make. if POE was the game that he wanted to make i m pretty sure he wouldnt have left. POE is at the point of no return. theres so many compromises made to the game that theres no way for him to salvage poe into a state that he would have liked it. when you say you like chris because he listens to feedback. but if you really think about it, a lot of what the community wanted was to make the game NOT the game he wanted. its pretty ironic, that everyone sings praises about how poe is today but its not what he wants. its like he wanted to paint a tree, but everyone kept giving him suggestions and he ended up painting a flower. in a way its kind of toxic positivity, since we're praising him for painting a flower while criticizing all his attempts at painting a tree. now hes gone off to try and paint a tree. he's still cursed. people who love the flower painting would want him to paint another flower.
