Make RUNES & SOUL CORES be corruptable.
As it seems there are a lot of complaints about Runes and Soul cores that are not strong invests.
I think making them corruptable will bring a new category of crafting and will solve some issues about weak modifiers they give plus it will add exitment and fun to the game. Devs think about it in future plans. To change the code isn't a big deal and lot of people will love it. Last bumped on Jul 18, 2025, 12:52:34 AM

Interesting idea, could be like the following corruption outcomes... Runes (25%) No change (25%) Randomizes rune effect magnitude (from 0.78x to 1.22x) (25%) Adds a random secondary lesser rune bonus effect (25%) Rune is destroyed Last edited by CharlesJT#7681 on Jul 1, 2025, 4:14:58 PM

" +1 why not , we have seen a lot lately. Maybe (20%) Change the rune/soul core to a different in gear category. |

Another good idea to balance a little bit the defences and not only them.
It's fun to corrupt anything in game but it would be also vital to corrupt Soul Cores and Runes. +1 |

" There is no time to be implemented in patch 0.3.0 but maybe after Christmas with 0.5.0 patch. |

How about allow the Machination Shield to use runes and talismans too while we are at it. I mean it was already reduced in potency by a massive magnitude. Why keep it locked to only Soul Cores. Sure the theme is there but the soul cores have been changed and nerfed in some cases already. I mean we all know the Azpaca or w.e it was called. Went from Rarity to 10% Gold from Slain mobs. OH BTW. that soul core was ninja nerfed and is now 5% Gold from Slain mobs now... I supremely question the need to nerf 10% Gold to 5% Gold... I mean... Gold serves what purpose in the game? Alva Trades, and respecs... None of which are going directly to players so... what was this ninja nerf for?
