"Revered Return" challenge is too expensive
Where are the people defending this now? This challenge is now:
- 70 divines for 5 Orb of Remembrance - 60 divines for 5 Orb of Unraveling - 70 divines for 10 Orbs of Intention So at minimum, it's a 130 divine cost to complete a single challenge. Contrast this with the other "currency wasting" challenge that you can use the Betrayal syndicate benches for, and it's night and day. Absolutely ridiculous. That's literally 2.5 magebloods or 1 Svalinn, or 1/10th of a mirror, just for a single challenge. |

" Or.....it costs you ZERO. You are thinking about a CHALLENGE in terms of TRADE VALUE. Maybe think of the challenge as the challenge. Anything you don't trade has exactly ZERO trade value. It only has the values you describe if you were selling or buying them. But for this challenge, you are doing (or can be doing) neither. Starting anew....with PoE 2

Consider it this way: You have a choice on what to do with your orbs, any orbs, that drop.
You can either 1) Trade them and make currency to do other things 2) Use them, in this case to complete the challenge If your GOAL is #2, that is a personal choice on what you are doing with the orbs. But it ALSO means that the items hold absolutely NO VALUE outside of the usage you are putting them towards. You were not going to trade them anyway, so what use is comparing their perceived trade value to your challenge completion? Trade value literally isn't everything: any item you have no intention of selling, and instead plan on using holds exactly ZERO trade value for you. It only gains value IF you plan to sell it. The actual "value" is only based on YOUR personal goals. And if you are "buying" your challenge....that's also another personal choice irrespective of the challenge design. Pay for your convenience or don't: the cost is irrelevant when discussing the challenge. Cost is purely a player-to-player construct based on perceived USAGE value. And challenges are not the most "valuable" usage, so prices are rarely influenced heavily, if at all, by the challenge itself. " It’s a strange comparison given how long the league has already been running. Crafting currency like this always spikes in price late in the league, supply dries up, yet demand stays strong from crafters, late players, or those hoarding for Standard. By contrast, items like Mageblood steadily decline in value as supply grows and demand eases. So if the cost of 130d feels like such a breaking point, maybe the takeaway is simple, either invest earlier when the price is lower, or actually engage with the content, and you could have it completed by now, no questions asked.
