End game still a joke.

Dunno... personally "end game" isn't that interesting to me. Then the league seems to drag on too long after the active pop drops off.

Sure on my mid 90's main there were a few days turning on some grinding music and farming maps or bosses was fun. I just don't end up playing my main that much because I funnel the few useful things I find to experimental builds which is where I spend most of the time once I have a "farmer" set up.

This league I ran out of things I wanted to experiment with much sooner than the previous. Haven't played in 3 days while before this I was playing for hours everyday (retirement gives a lot of time).
If you don't take pride in your build and commit to trading I think this game won't be great for you.

Challenge yourself for over item rarity 100%+ in your kit and enjoy better drops and get friends for a guild because finding gear for other people you like is fun imo...

Other than that, at the very least looking forward to the next skill lines and I really think GGG needs to add melee weapon diversity (swords/axes) asap because utilizing the weapon swap mechanic is how you salvage a good amount of gameplay fun.
Is the endgame for this title really intended to be such that the highest maps with max currency invested into them drop basically nothing, and we're instead meant to play hideout warrior, incessantly whispering unresponsive people for trades, to acquire endless bases in hopes of fruitfully recombinating while interacting with a crafting-station object? You can't just log in and play with any reasonable expectation of getting anything useful? I'm sorry, but this ain't it. Maybe PoE 1 got away with securing a consistent playerbase for this sort of thing, a decade ago, but I'm going to go out on a limb and say the average action-game player isn't champing at the bit to get home from work and do this.
Adding to the End game being a joke is the EXP being taken away when you die. That amount of EXP being deducted is just BRUTAL. With all the useless items being dropped after all the mobs and mobs of monsters everywhere, when you get killed, it's so disheartening of how much EXP is taken away after just one death.

It's like getting 10 EXP for maybe 30 minutes of fighting all those mobs and bosses and then if/when you get killed, that's maybe 8 EXP taken away from you. Brutal.

I don't share Jonathan's vision but I know he is just giving me the middle finger and getting a good laugh. That's his vision of getting killed in endgame.

So getting lvl 91+ and obtaining 9 more passives points is super necessary for your entertainment otherwise the creator hates you?

I'm in the firm believe that someone doesn't have a functioning build if there is a significant death chance on a T15 map and the boss mechanics are rather simple.
The only danger of a T15 map is digging up high quality exhibition monsters with that magic aoe circle that they do its quite the burst damage.
Agree with the poster.

The Unique items do not scale with level and so the vast majority are absolutely punishing to use. They hyped up the new Chase and Buffed Uniques but they simply not good enough to use.

These new items needed at least one EXCEPTIONAL stat or ability.

+60 to Strength, Can wield something in offhand while using a Staff, +100% Elemental Damage if you don't have any Movement Speed Bonuses, Grants an additional Belt slot etc.

I don't want the drop rates to be buffed, I just want functional uniques. I want there to be more of them so it seems like the drop rate has been buffed.

Anyway, I find the game fun to play but the rewards at T15 and 16 and the Pinnacles is really disproportionately poor.

Of course, you just push the content without checking the consequences.

Explain how the average player learns to maximize, test, and tweak their build with such a high respec cost. If you don't have gear that you were forced to spend a substantial amount of divs on, then you need a perfect/very efficient build. If you don't have a perfect build then you are forced to play lower tier maps with garbage drops which feels like a waste of time.

People who put 10k hours in POE1 or thousands in POE2 while putting more time into researching everything are out of touch with the average gamer. The game needs to offer better access to experimenting with builds. POB is something that should be incorporated into the skill tree or the respec costs need to drop significantly
I completely agree with the topic starter.

PoE2 has too much stupid, unnecessary, useless randomness that ruins the game. This applies to crafting and drops. And also random one-shots from off-screen.

Sure, there are about 5% of weird characters in every PoE2 criticism thread who enjoy pointless suffering. Make a separate BDSM-difficulty mode for them.

Naw its just that the complainers are on the forums. People that enjoy the game are not spamming here.
