Kingmaker

So... One on your Merc, one on your AG, go Champion. Anyone up for a bet on what the price of a Kingmaker will be this league?

Anyone planning on farming "The Soul" cards?

Probably won't be much more expensive than usual. AG's no longer drop items on death and there will be better merc setups for the average player.

Kingmaker has +10 fortification. Not +10 maximum fortification. Since Champion always has his maximum fortification by default using Kingmaker is useless.

On the other hand, almost nobody used AG before and now literally everyone will so the price will be 10x normal.

I think you can omen it as long as they didn't add anything else to Soul Taker base. Probably will be 20-30 divines. I don't think it'll go higher because at a certain point you're better off just getting gear for yourself. If a popular streamer releases a clickbait video with a "THE ONE ITEM YOU *MUST* HAVE!" title it might hit 50 divines.

New Champion Ascendancy reads "You have your maximum Fortification" so I think Kingmaker will give the Champion 10 to his maximum fortification. But I guess only if the champion uses the kingmaker himself.

No, it doesn't. +10 fortification just means that a non champion character using Kingmaker would run around with 10 fortification all the time. The stat doesn't increase the fortification limit of 20. And since Champ's fortification is always equal to his maximum he has no need for Kingmaker. Just compare the wording of Kingmaker with Celestial Brace. Those are 2 different stats.

Please read the total post first.. If you read my previous posts I say if the champion USES the kingmaker he WILL gain the 10 more fortification, so NOT if the kingmaker is equiped on an AG or your Merc. IM RIGHT! lol

And please dont think that equipping the kingmaker yourself on a Champ would be a waste, because Champ shares his Fortification will nearby allies so 36+ fortification for nearby allies is nothing to scoff at.

No, Baharoth is right. Kingmaker on Champ does nothing because he will always have whatever his current maximum Fortification is, which is 20 by default and thus greater than Kingmaker. The latter is useful for characters that have neither access to a nearby Champion or Fortification. Which is why I'll be (hopefully) using it on my Merc, because I'm one of those.

I read the line multiple times and there's no other way of interpreting it. Unless there's a language barrier. Champ is gonna be in every party now.
