Trading is dead - give us async trading
I'd say the lack of an auction house is the worst miscalculation in the design of the game. Gaming is just way too different now versus 10 years ago.

" Sure Buddy. An Auction House would help with many things: - You can buy low cost items. Not many people go back to the Hideout for sub 5ex Items. They dont even list them mostly. - You would be able to sell more low Ex Items. Why would someone buy a 1ex item to gamble once or twice. The effort and time it would cost to search and then buy the item is just to much. Not worth it - You would also sell more items because u can sell when you are not online - Electricity Savings. Some people use scripts to tell them when they get a trade and are not home/afk, but for that the PC has to be running wasting electricity and also money. Slightly better for the environment, but thats just being nitpicky. - Price fixers will be gone Thats all i cna think of right now, but there is probably many more things |

How this game expects to survive in 2025 with out an AH, its beyond me.
The lack of propper crafting already took its toll with the introduction of LE. As it stands, i dont see a happy ending for Poe 2. |

My pov for this issue is limiting the trade like:
If you buys tier 1 gear, it has some cooldown to relist something like 72 hour or so... (maybe even 10 days to resell) because you see... this items are not to be currency for trading (or inflating the market) They are to be used on your character |

The trading system has caused great trouble to players.
When you want to buy something, look for 10 sellers and maybe only one seller will respond. The price has also been deliberately suppressed by some people, but there is no actual transaction. I don't see the benefits of this trading method at all. It will only make players feel full of malice. |

Either the game is trade-based or it's not.
If it's trade-based. It's really difficult to justify the omission of an Auction House in 2025. Things are different than in 2012. It's not a disruptive idea. The problem with the D3 one was the real money transactions. Internet scams are more serious and risky because they can be easily automatized. Competing games have quick trading options. We already have the Currency Exchange so we can't really claim to be afraid of easy-trade markets. Etc, etc. etc. You can still encourage players to pay for microtransactions if you did fancy things like showing the Seller's character model when you are inspecting an item for sale. Sure, go ahead. |
