HOT TAKE. I am probably the only person in the community who is not excited for 3.26

Not that hot of a take. I'm in the same boat. It will be the same game with the same massive problems and a degenerate addicted streamer crowd telling me "nah bro LOGIN best thing since sliced bread slam 24/7".

- no endgame loot hunt
- all wearable drops are garbage
- 50 steps of "hope I get lucky" gambling labeled as "crafting"
- balance is a joke, most gems are completely ignored
- monster damage is still ludicrously overtuned so standing still on most builds is a death sentence
- ever increasing terrible system performance in all environments
- zero visual clarity in any combat situation

Anyone know a modern ARPG with an endgame loot hunt?
poe2
For those who are not hyped for this expansion, just play another game simple as that. Its fine to take a break, allow yourself to enjoy other things and back when you think its time.

I dwelled on it for a day, watched many "Why you should be excited for 3.26" videos from content creators and still not sold on 3.26 I was more excited for next League after honourable mentions QoL video before 3.26 reveal and patch notes. Yes, many builds are buffed but it's typically 30% or so damage increase which is nothing for mechnically inferior skill like BV of Scythe. I was excited for exactly one skill being buffed, but turns out it's dot portion was buffed and it's irrelevant for the build lol. I need to go through my list of builds to "play later" and check whether they were nerfed or not. Some were not, but I wasn't particulary excited for any of them - there is reason they remained on the list. So they nerfed / killed a lot of meta builds but there is nothing to get excited about instead.

Secrets of the Atlas expansion introduces additional hustle of managing extra skills juggling monstes and buffs, makes you run maps you don't like since it works like memories did before and has bosses based on annoying existing bosses. Memory threads sounds interesting though. New crafting methods are always welcomed.

And League mechanic itself sounds pretty meh so far. Fighting one dude, for a single reward and having him as companion and making sure they don't die. No friends the League. Gearing them up sounds interesting. Hopefully adjusted gems are interesting.

Some changes are welcomed, but overall 3.26 looks pretty meh. Am I supposed to be excited for 3.26 just because we got nothing for a year?
yeah i expected more from GGG i had the same feeling ngl, it feels like they spent more time on betrayal then the league

11 months wasn't a long enough break?
And now they sneak in more massive nerfs 2 days before League start. Interesting development.

Last Epoch is pretty good now. Insanely good crafting, SSF friendly, low floor, high ceiling itemization.
QoLs and few things aside i have literally zero hype for mercenary league.

It's just meh. I can't even be happy with having few builds, because GGG with surgeons precision avoided buffing any skill that i like.

GGG said they will keep updating PoE1 as long as it has players... This league sounds like creative workaround to fix that issue.
Almost anything not PoE2 atm sounds fun tbh. I do hope the next PoE2 update delivers some fun!!
Hot take - only SC casual players are not excited
