Please reconsider keeping Kingsmarch.
" Agreed, and i already suspect they've already done so. Like when most of the stuff goes core, rewards plummet. Though in this case "it can't" plummet to hard though else noone will use/try it. So i suspect it'll be good initially and tuned thereafter. Or it'll be bad from the start and going for KM will be a bait. I personally don't have fomo issues so i don't mind it either way, but i can see it from the perspective of those who have. I used to have it with WoW dailys n shit. At certain point in PoE as well when it came to league rewards. But nowadays i don't realy care, hence why i didn't go atleast 36/40 as i usualy do. I just don't care enough to bother, and it's a nice feeling and i wish others could get the same feeling/mantra. However if it does end up being realy good, i mean toooo good. Then yea it might even infer some slight fomo in me aswell. But your solution is a perfect way to do it. I already assume it's the case, but if it's not. Might be worth for GGG to consider. |

" The key point is you have to sacrifice your in-game time to make it run. Time = time. You trade in-game instant gratification for later. And the returns for it will be inline with other mechanics. Level 5 seems to be the baseline they've selected for the workers. Compared to level 10's, that's about a 75% less multiplier on loot. It will also limit your mappers to Low tier 10-11 maps. There will be no more mirror shards period, and high runes/tattoos will be VERY rare outcomes - and probably the primary driver of the mechanic - not the actual loot value. (I don't see a problem with any of this btw, the 50,000,000 crop rewards were silly). The return will be MUCH lower. " To keep all your workers going the whole time you're playing, even at level 5, you will have to run a specific scarab set and atlas layout. Mappers + Shippers + Disenchanters + Farmers + Smelters + Miners will run you about 30k an hour with them all running. You have to build your entire playtime around that to sustain that 24/7 or burn 2-3 div per map to properly tweak T-17's enough to get the 250k+ gold payouts - and your build will need to be top-shelf to pull those maps off. So you are actively keeping your city running and playing to feed it. It's just a different way to accomplish the same goals. You don't have to Engauge with it any more than I do the Trialmaster. (I hate that mechanic). " It's time consuming and painful to flip using the market and you well know it. Time = time remember. Spending an hour to flip 25k chaos orbs using the website is time I'm not playing. With the currency exchange I can bulk list them and get my divines/mirror shards in one click. Time = time. " Faustus killed market for that. It is so much faster and easier that unless you really short yourself, you'll end up sitting on your currency forever. You're also forced to constantly leave maps to come currency trade with people. Those cost portals (every portal has an explicit value) and it costs more time. Time = time. " This is not true for reasons I've already covered. " I made a LOT of mirror shards making 250 div Shaper +1 totem, 30% mana reservation, 5% ES on block shields this league, among many other things, and the recombinator was integral in that. It is a VERY powerful crafting mechanic. " This in no way invalidates my arguments. Mappers are different from boats in how they operate and what they bring back. This is like saying "Breach drops splinters and Abyss drops eyes, and since they both sell for chaos orbs, Breach = Abyss." " Without very heavy gold investment, your "passive" currency won't be worth the hassle of unloading your boats and sorting through the map devices. These are all opportunity costs. Your time is spend doing these maintenance tasks. Time = time. " This is observably not true. For reasons I've stated. " This is not true. Without serious investment in your mapping strategy, scarabs and atlas, the rewards will be utterly trivial. Literally devoid of appreciable value. Why would you even bother to check on a boat full of some bubble-gum, low tattoos that are worse than +10 to a stat and mappers filled with 10+ pages of junk you have to sort through? Is that an efficient use of time? Time = time. " You get garbage if you don't invest into it. You are throwing away your gold, which has other important uses if you send out garbage shipments or run crappy maps. Your shippers die regularly - this costs you more gold. You are throwing away the lives of your mappers if you're sending them on sh*tty maps. They die too often to be worth the opportunity costs without optimizing. This also costs you money. " Your workers die dude. Last edited by Sabranic_SilverDeth#2793 on Jun 6, 2025, 4:22:54 PM

" At level 5 workers, you will never see a mirror shard or sacred orb - and divines will be a very rare outcome. The real value in the mechanic will be the Tattoos and Runes to graft. At level 5, your shippers will manage bubble-gum at best for the items/currency. |

" Not really true. The small shipments for several divines per day(every ~ 7th shipment on average) was a thing. If they don't change the rates, how dust works etc, this will not be optional even with level 5 workers, because you will get several divs per day by repeately managing your shipments every 30-45 minutes to send 1k crop shipments etc. Edit: At least you don't need t0 uniques for dust that way, because that would be to much to handle for lvl 5 workers xd Any trash rares should do, haha Last edited by Strickl3r#3809 on Jun 6, 2025, 4:33:12 PM

" Define "small." You're not seeing divines with 1k crop shipments. This is untrue. The only "cheap" shipment system that was worth the risk of losing your sailors was 1 verisium bar 1 low-rank sailor, and hope you got a good scarab. That didn't happen very often. " Rog's shop is max level. The disenchanters will still be able to melt down your high-tier uniques - they will just do so a good deal slower. The value in level 10 disenchanters is the speed they operate at, which saves you gold per hour and lets you ship more frequently. I think a lot of people are not taking into account how much slower your Kingsmarch is going to run at all levels with level 5 workers. You will mine slower, you will smelt slower, you will disenchant slower and accumulate farm produce slower. Your lower-tire sailors and mappers will be much less capable. This is no more "mandatory" than any other league mechanic, and without heavy optimization and investment, the "free" loot will amount to a rounding error. If your objection is "being idle" than I suppose you should have a problem with people idling in their hideout flipping currency and items. Which is already a significant part of PoE's gameplay and economy. Much more so than Kingmarch can hope to be. Wholly ignorable if you don't want to do it. |

The reduction from tier 10 worker to tier 5 workers is just for doing away with too many tier levels. A tier 5 worker will be an old tier 10 worker.
Also there are a lot of people here who play 16 hours daily and complaining about fomo. Honestly get a life. Most casual players will only send a boat once in a while and will not stress over the fact that the entire town needs to be run as efficiently as possible. If you have so much FOMO, go see a doctor to get your head examined. |

" Where was this stated? |

" In the patchnotes: There are now 5 job rankings for Kingsmarch workers (previously 10). |

" Jsut like the scarab thingy or the div card farm 500 each crop or 1k each crop + some dust worked as well(like i said every 7th shipment a div on average) and you def only needed some lvl 4-5 workers for that. be online every day get several divs, it was that easy.
